    Heya all,

Not updated this for a while. Had a good, but relatively cheap weekend.

Not much has really happened since I last posted - mainly just trying to not spend money before the end of the month.

Bit worried about my target as it is getting very close to the grain once my other bills go out, but maybe if I can earn a few pennies before then I will be ok.

Had my tesco credit card payment go out today.

    11 days till pay day!

How's it going Adi? I'm just about surviving until pay day, which isn't until Friday next week :(

    Hey all,

Can't believe it has been so long since I last posted. I have been busy painting and decorating and then had parents along for a weekend and been out and about walking alot.

Last few weeks have not been so good, but have tickets to go and see Take That and have booked up for a night in London at Xmas.

    Take That ticket was £70!
Train ticket to London - £19.50
    Hotel in London - £30

Something to look forward to anyway.

Also got MOT this month but hoping nothing is wrong - will have to see! Got another 3000 miles until it needs the Service which I expect will be around March time.

I have just applied for a new 16 month 0% credit card as my Tesco one is coming to an end and have been approved up to £3300 so will move the existing balance to that one and setup a direct debit for the total amount / 16 to pay off each month.

I will then use any spare money to throw at my mortgage as really want to get this down to 90% LTV so I can get a fixed rate soon.

This means my plan has totally changed now so will need some reworking in the next few weeks to come up with a new one!

Well done on paying off £2000 - wish I could do that but will have a read through your post.

    Good to be back.

I worked out I will need to make payments of £156.25 which seems pretty manageable. :j

I keep wondering if I really need my car. I live a few mins walk from the train station which means I could get to work everyday for £4 return or £5.80 depending on how early I go. I thught buying a nice car would make me happy but infact it just costs me a fortune every month! I feel guilty that I drive when I could get the train so easily.

Why not try the train for a few weeks and see how you get on before making a decision x

Equally I think once I pay off my car in a year and a half I won't be paying that much out each month compared with now!

Think I would miss driving :rotfl:
