Hello my lovelies, a busy morning so far. Giving that vicks first defence stuff a whirl as I have another cold coming on and I don't want to be ill over Christmas which will happen if I don't do something

I've done washing, dishwasher, paperwork sorting, letters sorting - not sent any for ages and I have 6 today! Sorted some more laundry out. Made many phone calls. Filled in my response to the Green Paper......a bit of a rant. I've got about 30 minutes to do some more work before I go for my next meeting so will slot myself a HHC in, just no music as DPs in bed :( lets see if I can get the kitchen sorted.

    (((hugs))) for you all x x x
One day I might be more organised...........

    Afternoon all

Hazy sort of day but mild. I've washed the cats blankets, dog's towel and handwashed my duster which isn't even fit to go in with that lot! The machine had a rinse with vinegar in after.

I've polished the computer desk, blu-tacked up some photos which I was tired of moving to dust under, polished in the living room, and then vacuumed right through downstairs.

Sorted through the bottom of my wardrobe where I have baskets with toiletries etc to check if I needed to add anything to my shopping order, and that's done. Checked bank account and updated my little book. Sorted the drawer in the kitchen where I keep plastic bags, cardboard (for putting on top of cakes in the oven to stop them burning) and the place mats, and got everything folded up and tidy so it doesn't burst out saying "surprise" when I open the drawer!

Hope everyone' OK, thinking of msgnomey.

Oh dear. Just had a run in with BIL.
I saw he was in the shop, so popped upstairs to get a couple of the binbags of stuff (ie his art stuff from school 25 years ago, old old rollerskates, and old old clothes)I've cleared from the future spare room, nipped back down, and said "look what I've found for you...."
"I don't have any room for it" (this from a man with a house, a shed, an outdoor office and about 5 lockups!)
"Well hon, I don't have any room for it either, so here you are" and put it down and sort of backed off for it in a "your're responsible for it not me" type of a way. Whereupon he started having a rant about how DH had been asked to arrange a time to clear the room years ago, he doesn't have any room and it's not his problem, it's DH's fault (for some obscure reason) and what was I doing clearing it out anyway.
I did not get upset, I did not loose the rag, I remained calm and assertive! (and remembered my flylady companions... what would they do.....)although I was a bit upset inside....and just said that at least it's all getting sorted out now, and tried to move on to a different subject. Sucessfully as it happened, thank goodness, but meh. Didn't really need that one!
On the up side, am currently going through toyboxes and regifting/binning/treauring the objects inside. Can't wait to see the results of my efforts!
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
