    Thanks JJ xx

Dinner(corned beef pie....trying out the storecupboard challenge) served and enjojoed. Dishes soaking in the sink and bedding dried and waiting to be put back on the bed!!!

Had a bit of pastry left over from the pie so rolled it out, smeared some tom puree on it and sprinkled last bit of chhes onto it....DD had mini pizza as a starter!!!! I bought a tin of custard and she had some of the homemade sponge and custard for pudding....she is stuffed now!!!

Tomorrows dinner will be leftover pie(if there's any left!!) or whatever is in the freezer...I have steaks so may take them out in a bit for tomorrow or Friday....

Looking through the tips on other threads here on OS for some more tips....

Oh and jeans cut, stripey t-shirt and black belt found...job done and no money spent!!!!!

    Pirate garb...

I made 'shoe buckles' with a rectangle of card, cut out a smaller rectangle inside it, (like a frame shape) covered with silver foil and attached to shoe with a loop of shirring elastic.

  • BIG (((( )))) for all thsoe having a grizzly time, with sad news or money worries.

DD came home yesterday after having reversed car into another in carpark. As she only passed test 1 month ago the other car owner has kindly agreed to allow us to pay her direct for repairs and carhire rather than go through insurance. We worked out that it would save us lots more in the long run if dd can build up a no claims. Just need to wave goodbye to money I had been putting aside to have roof done for winter:mad:

DustyKitten ..you are most welcome to visit the cabbage patch and join us at 9pm for A (please refrain from mule slinging in our direction ladies until 10pm). Plenty of room for anyone else wanting to share chocolates, wine and have a laugh at the silly suds who seem to score zero on common sense every year!

Right best get on, still not trained hoover to work independently:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Glad you like the idea Sunnygirl - it really helped me when DS was poorly. There also has to be strict instruction that the treat has to be for the parent not the child - they'll be getting lots of treats anyway I'm sure!

All floors cleaned, towels washed and folded and up to date with washing and drying.

My mum's just phoned up to say she's booked us all to go to the pantomime between Christmas and New Year. We took them last year and they loved it so much (especially my dad which is unheard of!!) that they wanted to treat us this year. My childen loved it so that'll be a lovely surprise when she tells them on Christmas day. Ok, no more of the 'c' word now!

Are you getting the one with the sausage making attachment? Mine is unfortunately too old to take it but it seems to me it would be a huge advantage. I've not made sausages for ages. Must get my books out again :)

ooh, books about sausage making! I like books, I do, I do, I do :D.

Yes I will be getting the sausage stuffer, I am still trying to decide if I should get the ugly professional grade chef with metal gears (DH says yes) at £250 or the prettier basic but plastic geared Chef at £158 (DH says No!). The mincer/sausage thing fits on any of the Chef models. It'll make me feel better about all my overtime either way! DH wants me to have a go at making Biltong too.

Is it too early to slope off for bath/bed/book? DW is on, TD is on with unfiorms for the morning (as someone had left all of his jumpers at school until today ).

Sunnygirl - thinking of you and your friend.

What about one of those robot ones? Are they any good? I have too many changes of level I think but I do fancy one. Could they cope with all the pet hair?

Brilliant, that sounds wonderful. Kenwood Chefs are absolutely great! Mine is from 1964, and has survived my mum (who got it as a wedding present), my sister, and subsequently me. I have to say, I feel like getting another one from ebay simply because of it's sausage stuffing capabilities. My Auntie had the A901 (released a few years later) which was able to do that and it was superb!
I have huge numbers of books on charcuterie, sausage making and preserving... and I'm even leering at more on Amazon :rotfl: Now I feel more in control with the house thanks to this thread, I think I'm just going to get on with it. I miss Italian sausages!

Didn't get very much flying done today. Watched Marie Antoinette instead (for the fab costumes) as I was feeling rubbish after embarrassing faint session at hairdressers. Will catch up tomorrow (and remember to pay hairdresser) House still looks wonderful compared to how it did look. Thank you everyone for all the support! It's fun doing it together! Wishing love, hugs and strength to all my flylady friends who need them. x

Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
