Why is there no mention of this great deal from O2 in the guide to home phone deals and line rental etc.
Is it just because you already have to be an O2 boradband customer?
Just wondering if I'm missing something about it...

Yes, because it's not a standalone deal-you have to already have (or take out) any O2 broadband package to get it. This applies to any O2 Home Phone tariff. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

can you take this line rental offer and then get sky to provide your calls?0
-
No you can't, only with BT can you use a different company for line rental and calls.
As I said, it is not a line rental offer-it is only available alongside an O2 broadband package. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I've had my line connected today by o2, and I've just used 18185 for free land line calls this evening. I've not bought a call package from o2, just the plain £7.50 with all rounder BB.
I've also not transferred the line from anyone, it was a dormant line reconnection by o2.My farts hospitalize small children0 -

You don't have a call package with 18185, you are simply using them as an override provider. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Yeah I know. Just wanted to point out that there are cheap alternatives for calls without the o2 call package. o2 landline isn't that bad so long as you one of their BB packages suits you.My farts hospitalize small children0 -

Thats ok if they dont bar indirect access.;)
Only BT have to allow indirect access to the likes of 18185/1899/18866 etc.0 -
I have O2 broadband for £5 or so a month because I have an O2 pay as you go phone. Just been on their website but can't see anything regarding line rental. Also, can you get this offer through a cashback website ?0

Select 'Broadband and Home Phone' from the 02 Home page.
No, you can't get it with cashback as it's just an add on to your existing broadband service-not a new contract.
PS: the standard BB rate is £7.50 with the mobile discount, if you are paying a fiver then you have an additional loyalty discount rate.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
What I don't want is to be waiting days/weeks for the transition from BT to O2. Can it be instant ?0
