Sky just gave the Ryder Cup score after Chelsea Arsenal game

Why did Richard Keys give the Ryder Cup score after the Chelsea Arsenal game?

I've never been so annoyed at Sky. They have both sport events and thye just gave the score out of the game that I'm taping on their other channel!

tried to find a contact email to complain but cannot be found on sky.com - funny that!

can't get out of my sky hd subscription but have typed letter to explain I will at least cancel my broadband. Am now lokoing for a suitable provider before I ask for my MAC address.

Absolutely unforgivable from SKY - totally ruined my watching of today's sessions in the ryder cup that I was just about to watch the culmination of.

  • Someone made a mistake. Take a step back and get a little perspective - someone mistakenly announced the golf scores when they shouldn't have.

It's not life or death. In the grand scheme of things it isn't even a bump in the road.

Registering on here and making childish threats about leaving Sky is pretty pointless - do you think Sky are going to be the slightest bit affected by you leaving?

    It happened. Move on.

    thanks for your support.

the ryder cup is a massively imoportant thing in my sporting calendar that happens once every two years.

Sky have paid millions for the rights of both these competitions. why on earth would they be so incompetent in giving the score away of a competition that's on another of their channels????

it's not a threat re leaving sky by the way - it's the only way I can 'complain' by taking money out of their pockets

if everyone was like this and just accepted their incompetence then they would get away with this time after time. yes, in the scheme of things they will still make millions no matter what I do, I understand that.

and sorry, I thought this was a 'vent' post thread - so I shouldn't even vent my anger on here?

Support!? Why do you need support?

They made a mistake. You found out some golf scores when you didn't want to find them out - it happens.

People who have lost loved ones need 'support' for goodness sake, not people who have found out a golf score an hour early!

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill! :D
  • what a stupid reply. comparing sporting errors against losing someone. I lost a very VERY close relative years ago so I know what that sort of grief is. I wonder if you do? perhaps if you have lost a direct family member you would not use this sort of comparison so flippantly.

In your world no one is allowed to complain then?

PS I was being sarcastic in my reply in thanking you for your support

but this is getting too heated - I was really angry at another !!!! up by sky - and just wanted to vent my anger - but I suppose this isn't the forum to do that so will stop now.

Everyone is allowed to complain or vent - what irritates me a little is people who complain and vent and then tantrum when anyone points out that their complaint or vent is rather trivial in the grand scheme of things.

As I said in my original post - put it into perspective, you're complaining that I'm not giving you 'support' and have now started name-calling because I replied that hearing some golf scores isn't exactly the end of the world.

    yes I understand your points

I don't agree with them, but that's what forums are for.

I'll take my anger out on sky rather than another forum member - thanks for your time

No problem - but again taking you're anger out on Sky isn't going to get you anywhere. A sports presenter made a mistake, it's not the first time this has happened and won't be the last - cancelling your contract isn't going to make a blind bit of difference to anyone and you'll be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Up to you though of course. :D
