Orange PAYG to Orange Contract

Hi all

I'd just like to clear something up before my sister buys an Orange contract. She has an Orange PAYG sim at the moment. Can she buy an Orange contract and then move the PAYG number over to it?

Thanks

Michael.

Yes. If you're buying from Orange tell them and they'll do it there an then. If you're buying from a dealer just call after you get the contract sim and they'll action the transfer of the number.

As a follow up to this, for the purposes of a cashback deal, is transferring a number from PAYG to a contract classed as 'porting' or is this a scenario in which cashback would be denied?

    Thanks!

    Michael.

If you want to be really safe. Move the payg to another networks payg for a couple of weeks or so and then move it back to Orange. They'll let you port in whenever you like.
