They've sold it for ages.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

With Currys & PC World, does the 28 days include transit?
My PC has been with them for 28 days today, I rang to request a new one and was told it was sat in the repair shop ready to go out to me tomorrow, as it has been repaired I'm not elegible for a new one, even though it will still be sat in there repair shop tomorrow. Is this true? Surely they could just be telling me it's repaired when it's not so they don't have to give me a new one?0 -
If it's under Whateverhappens, then the 28 days starts from when the courier collects it (or when you book it in to the store) and ends when the item is repaired, not when it's received back - although it does assume they can return it from repair quickly enough. This is to stop people continually being 'unavailable' to receive delivery and claiming a replacement.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. Currys/DSGi have a 28 day policy, if they can't fix your TV within 28 days they will replace/refund it. Just an FYI if you didn't know
The 28 starts from the day you hand it in. Includes weekends, bank holidays etc and on the 28th day.. you can say "you've had it for 28 days.. where's my TV?" (Nicely of course!)
As for the Apple TV.. yeah contact apple, they are so much more efficient at customer service and will have you up and running in no time!
They do but in reality it hasn't worked like this for me. You get near the end and they say its on its way back, and mine was nearer 6 weeks then the 4 weeks promised. They insisted they'd sent it via courier though before the 28 days.
Whilst Apple are generally good and they dont let anyone touch their products they will more then likely send you another out although it could be a refurb (if it comes in a brown box it is) and if its only eligible for a repair its quicker using apple because PC world would only have to get it from you and then send it to them if they wasnt replacing it.
I'd be bit annoyed though buying something that new and if its within 28days they should be replacing it on the spot for you not sending it so you'd possible get a refurb (i've read on apple forum that refurbs are meant to have anything you can see or touch replaced so it should still be good) but having said that you paid for a new one and if you wanted a refurb you could have waited till wednesdays apple refurb sales and got a discount (not sure if they've any apple tvs in regular though).0
