I had the misfortune to have to fly into Birmingham airport earlier this year. Was chatting to a member of staff that said the airport really isn't making money, thus charging for trolleys and 3 for £1 plastic bag charge for toiletries.

Don't forget the £1 to simply set someone down or pick them up @ Birmingham either . Scandalous IMO.

My dad got caught out when picking my brother up cause his flight was late . he ended up paying nearly £20 in short term parking .

So when it came time for me to pick up my dad we said i would only drive into the pick up zone when he called me from there . Quite obviously regular users of Birmingham Airport have the same plan as a slip road near the airport was rammed with people in cars ( this is 11 pm at night ) . Police showed up to move people on as it was causing a hazard . i just drove round in circles .

So the Airport are causing problems outside it's boundary with it's penny pinching .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
