Natwest Dispense £5.00 notes

Have Natwest started dispensing £5.00 notes?

As this morning I used the ATM to withdraw £10.00 at the Manchester City Centre branch and to my surprise the machine dispensed me 2 £5.00 notes.

My main question is has anyone else managed to get £5.00 from a Natwest machine as for all I know the branch manager may have made there own decision to put £5.00 in the cash machine.

Do local branch managers make decisions about what their machines stock? I've always believed it was decided centrally.

When I worked in a branch the Senior Branch Manager used to decide which notes went in the machine. But saying that they was sacked for fraud :D

I know that for a long time that £5 was added to machines to help people at the moment.

What I aslo meant was we only use Natwest. Whilst I feel that most of the time the service has been great. How are we supposed to know. But you work for them, you should know.

My local Natwest haven't yet started to dispense £5's.

Must say I hope they do though, as I feel quite embarassed about handing over £10 for small purchaes like say £1.18, but don't feel so bad if I use a fiver.

I don't ever really seem to normally have fivers in my wallet, usually £10 or coins.
