Vodafone Refused Credit Check

I believe there are two stages from what I have researched into credit checking with vodafone (hours of googling ). ).
1 - Identity check - which I guess I failed, perhaps the address i typed in is slightly different from what is on my bank statements or i missed out my middle initial?
2 - the actual credit check through experian/equifax.
As mentioned no credit check was done according to my reports & the companies.0

ah right i get you interesting
maybe the identity check was because of the same name being used previously at your address it didnt match upWhat goes around-comes around0

There is another CRA called Call Credit, you need to check them as my O2 bill is recorded monthly on their system.
No idea if Voda use them."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

For some reason Callcredit won't let me register for the £2 report. No idea why but I believe it is not accepting my address properly as when I click find address it puts the full name in the House number part. So haven't checked that one.
Also anyone know why i cant post on the vodafone forum after registering?0

^^ if it's vBulletin you probably need to check your email for an activation email."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Elvis - i got the activation email and clicked the link but it didn't let me post.
gjchester - how long are they likely to keep that? The reason I ask is that I have a dispute at the moment which may be solved in a week or 2.
Who do I contact? I have tried many times to call them but keep hitting the same wall..."sorry there is nothing we can do...." I see there is a company rep on here answering posts now and again.0

I suspect they'll keep it forever (or however long their data retention policy is).
More use to you is how long before it's discarded when applying for a phone and that comes back to company confidential. They won't tell you as you'll know how to get around the system.0

I finally got activated on the vodafone eforum. Little issue with my browsers cache. Little issue with my browsers cache.
Regarding a failed ID check, if that is indeed what it is, can this be checked?? If I had known the trouble of ordering online I woul happily of went to the shop and got the contract with all the prrof of id they could ever need.0

Good news, experian have removed the extra individual on my account and my record should be clean in a few days.
Now to wait on equifax to sort out the dispute and then I will get back to Vodafone and see if they can redo the ID check.0
