Those of you with Craft Robo's please please persist you will get there in the end, I am one of the least techie people I know and I can manage to operate it, and absolutely love it!!! I really am only at the basic stages but I'm having so much fun with it. I have a cuttlebug too and a few sets of nesties (which are quite expensive) and embossing folders, but now I mainly use the Silhouette for cutting as you an resize the files for your particular needs.0

Been having a play whilst DD sleeps this afternoon. Made these cards - what do you think? Too plain? Is black off putting for Christmas??
There are clear jewels on each of the stars but pants camera and the photo doesn't show them up
Here it is again in Gold. I put glitter on the stars this time (not that you can see it (rolls eyes)
Do you put inserts into your cards? This stamp says "May the spirit of Christmas last all year" and I rather like it. My mum thinks inserts would be more professional but TBH I just CBA
My paper strimmer died, after what I've spent lately I don't want to fork out more money and cutting paper by hand.....well wouldn't look professional when I do it
Sorry this is on it's side. 'Puter won't let me rotate it grrrrr. Sorry flyingpig I have pinched your "writing" style
Is this too plain? I had to use pink gems as I don't have any red ones yet.
Interested to hear your comments, good or bad
also wondered where's the best place to buy different coloured card? Only got Hobbycraft near me or a small stationers or a large Staples store. Is online any cheaper? the black card I bought for £1 for 20 sheets in my cheapie store but sadly they only had black or whiteI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

A couple of weeks ago I made some of these fridge magnets, they were made by cutting out the shape on my Silhouette and layering up and glittering it, then I stuck a strip of magnet onto the back.
This morning I made this little fella, he is a free download from here
I just resized him in Word to 100mm (about 4") printed him off and coloured him with promarkers (posh felt tips) glittered him up a bit and stuck some gems on. I then cut him out and mounted him onto some thick white card and stuck a strip of magnet onto the back and hey presto a fridge magnet at hardly any cost. Very MSE
I printed 2 copies because I had thought about decoupaging his head but changed my mind and will make a simple matching Christmas card instead.
There are loads of digi images to use on that site, perfect for cards etc and all free!!
Fantastic cards Bitsy, I love the figgy pudding, lovely writing too.0 -

Well how much do Cadbury's charge for their overpriced 6 chocolate tree decorationsI think £1 is selling yourself a bit short but then again if no one will pay that what can you do? Sorry no help what so ever was I :rotfl:

Can't take the credit for the writing as I pinched the idea off Flyingpig and did it free hand.
Your magnets are lovely. Thanks for the link. Where do you buy the magnets from?
Thanks for the lovely comments. When I dabbled in personal Xmas cards a few years ago I did much more "faff" but if I were to go down the route of trying to sell them I really need to make them as quick and simple to do as I have young kids and time is precious. I am coming around to the thought that less is more but my mum bless her likes all things with glitter overload :rotfl: It's nice to get some impartial opinionsI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
