Ohhhh AHHHH
I am just lovin this thread. I am arranging a shopping evening for our school and am thinking I may make lots of these goodies to sell.
Does anyone have a tutorial for the cards with tea/coffee in please?
When you do sweetie bags would a heat sealer be better to use if you are making things in advance?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help. I can feel a trip to the range is on the cards xx0 -

I've made them before, but just guessed what to do! But I have found this one on youtube (this is what I did for mine, but I made it a bit wider) or this one, which is a bit more complicated, but if you scroll to the bottom and look at the one that says 'Variations - sleeveless holder) you will see that is similar to the youtube one, but more square.
Don't see a problem with using a heat sealer, particularly if the things you are putting in bags are already wrapped ie chocolates.
Hope this helps and good luck with making them.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments, I didn't even think of using twilights choccies got the elizabeth shaw ones in tesco b o g o f so got 4 boxes I have only done one box so far
I got my stickers of ebay as our accessorize is the other side of town and no were near a car park and ds's pushchair has broken so it is a nightmare walking to far at the moment.(fingers crossed they aprove him for a major buggy when they do his assesment)
Kelly-Lou I dont use a heat sealer my bags have got a self seal type strip on them if you look back a couple of pages I am sure one of the other Ladies in the thread said that hers had kept fine doing them 4 weeks before.
I dont know if there is a tutorial for the tea bag cards but I made some the other day and they are ever so easy to make without one.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
I have never listed ingredients on the back of my packs - as I only sell at work.
But its always one of those things I have niggling at the back of my mind if I went "public"
If you wanted to be extra careful - I think you could perhaps photo copy the list of ingredients of the packet and make small cards that you gave with each packet.
I think anyone with say a nut allergy or who knows someone with an allergy would be wary of unlabelled produce.
However as most of us are doing it for school fetes - I don't really see a problem ...... but if you would like I will do a bit of research.0 -
