Hi Mrs Tine ...... I have an electric bag sealer for my sweetie bags - that way I can be sure everything stays fresh - it has been one of the best things I have ever bought.
As for the font ........ no font ....... it's my own handwriting! However there are a lot of handwriting fonts available to downlaod for free on the web.0 -
WAAAAAAAAH I'll never make it as neat as you!!!! *sulks*
I actually have one of those sealers... a JML one that sticks on the fridge... why did that not occur to me???? Hmmm
What diecut machine do you use? I want one but I'm struggling with justifying the space and money... space probably being the bigger problem lolDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Love your crafty handy work flyingpig58. I think, like others if I tried your designs it just wouldn't look the same. Have you got any easy designs that I could try??0

Hi Mrs Tine
I started with a Cuttlebug - which is a brilliant die cutter
Then I sold it about 2 yrs ago when I was persuaded to get a BigShot and I will stick with it as I love it and it's so easy to use.
The reason I changed is that I wanted to make the BigXL boxes and bags dies Sizzix do .... Some people do all sorts of fancy things on their cutters .....but I keep things very simple.
This is the Elitech bag sealer I use, as I have said its the best tool I have EVER bought! I shopped round a lot and found one under £20 on e-bay. I only use mine for sweet bags .... but it would also be brilliant for freezers and storing food.
Hi Dorren
You are very kind but believe me you can make stuff just as good as me I started blogging because I got so frustrated looking at other peoples blogs and feeling "rubbish" - I hope what I do is fairly simple and easy to copy.
I think my chocolate bars are one of the easiest things to do .... like the reindeer one. Just cover a bar with paper - brown for a reindeer deer for example ..... then all you need to do is add a nose and some wobbly eyes and some antlers - if you stick a loop of ribbon on the bar before you wrap it, you can hang it on a tree.
Decorate 24 chocoate bars with loops and hang them on a length of string/ribbon and you've got an advent calendar!
I have a few more chocolate bars to add and a couple of chocolate bar ideas in my head I've yet to make.
These bars are REALLY and used small child sized choc bars I found in Tesco0 -
I've covered this bar of chocolate with felt ..... which is a touch extravagant, but a good white paper would be equally as good.
His hat is made by cutting the fingers off "Magic Finger" gloves - I see they are selling 2 pairs of these gloves in Primark for £1 - so for that amount you can have a lot of hats - and that many fingers allows you for a few mistakes!
The buttons and eyes are black flat backed gems I found in Paperchase. The carrot I admit is something special ...... but I managed to get some other carrot buttons on e-bay for a reasonable price and cut the shanks off. But you could also draw a carrot shape and cut it out.
The scarf is made from a piece of ribbon (from East of India)
This is a deluxe version I admit ..... so I am going back to the drawing board tonight to see if I can make another one using simple materials - but keeping the glove fingers!0 -
