Hi all,
I made these little gingerbread houses at the weekend for my blog and I thought of you ladies on this thread!
They'd make a great xmas gift with a few in a little bag and some ribbon...
Have a look here for more details
Cheers,

I have just made a load of salt dough.
Looking after my Grandson before Christmas and wanted to do some crafting with him as he loves making things. As it's many years since I did this I decided to do a trial run, spurred on by seeing some salt dough stuff on sale at a Christmas Market,
If you google images for salt dough, there are loads of ideas that you can make wither yourself or with children. Make great little presents that cost pennies. I coloured some dough with food colouring, cut out star shapes, and when they are dry I'll write names on and use as gift tags. PVA and glitter will make them look really festive.Jack of all trades ... Master of none

This is what I have been playing with a lot this Christmas - using bottle caps to make simple Christmas Tree decorations.
You need to punch a hole into the bottle cap for a thread to hang it from. I use a tool called a Cropodile.
Then glue a simple background into the back of the bottlecap.
Using fimo oven drying clay create a simple model that will fit into the bottle cap - when it is cooked/hardened, glue your embellishment into the bottle cap and varnish, if you want a glossy finish.
Add a thread through the hole you made - a jump ring makes it look more professional but is not neccessary.0
