They were the dark ones.
Also, my local Poundstretcher (near West Bromwich) is selling fleese bed socks for £1 or 3 pairs for £1.99. They are PERFECT for sock muffins :-) I bought 15 pairs last night and still had change from a tenner!!0 -
Hello,
I only discovered this thread last night and I am slowly working my way through all the old posts...
I have even been and bought 2 of the poundland stockings to personalise! I couldn't sleep last night with ideas whirling around my head! LOL!
I just have a quick question about the snowflake wire ornaments I have seen.... What size beads is best to use for them? I am looking at buying this size of wire - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8pcs-Beadsmith-snowflake-ornament-wire-forms-3-75-/330616605156?pt=UK_Crafts_Beads_CA&hash=item4cfa4909e4
Thanks to everyone who posts their ideas on here, it is inspiring! :j

I've been using 6 and 8mm beads for mine but you may want to get smaller beads for the first bead that you put on each bit of wire as they won't all fit neatly. Also make sure you buy plenty of beads, I only bought 200 and I haven't got enough to finish the last 2 snowflakes. I think I put about 5 or 6 on each bit of wire if that helps.Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0 -

I visited Aldi for the first time today and bought some chocolate there, I tried it incase it was foul but it was pretty good so I now have some nice size small bars for reindeers and snowmen
bought the wrong sized cello bags though so will be doing reindeer poo as well now LOL

I used the Poundstretcher socks last year for sock cupcakes, they work really well. My older dds had one each too and the socks have washed well
I did my first fair tonight (ladies night at local nursery). Did pretty well given the tiny table I hadLast year the nursery asked me to do flannel reindeer for them, only it was too late to order all the bits in time. Tonight I took a sample one in and they want to place a bulk order. For 800 reindeer :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
no not a typo - eight hundred reindeer! turns out the nursery is part of a chain! I've had to say no as I can't imagine staying sane making that many reindeer! :rudolf: I have said I'll do enough for that site though, so only 140 to make, if I can price them low enough. So I'm on the hunt to reindeer bits next week0 -
Oh becky what an order!! Wow! Good luck!Life happens, live it well.0
