Woohoo finally found some extra strongs mints today in packs of 5 so bought 2. And I have made the chocolates they are scrummy, next time I think I will crush the mints to within an inch of their life as I wouldn't want to break anyone's teeth. I had some nice ice cube trays (silicon type) so they came out really easily, next time I am going to try and add some fresh orange juice to make little chocolate oranges as one of the trays looks like a slice of orange.Mortgage

Sorry, I've been lurking on this wonderful thread and just wanted to give you a little tip - hope you don't mind. :-)
Very finely grated orange zest added to the chocolate would be better as it contains orange oil. I think the quantity of juice required to flavour chocolate would be too much and wouldn't mix if that makes sense. HTH
I've made Hot Hedgerow chutney [recipe is on Lakeland's site], sloe gin and will be doing some lemon curd, peppermint creams and snowman soup as well.
Has anyone found little bottles for sloe gin? Last year I bought some small 175ml red wine bottles and drank the wine. I don't make enough to give larger bottles away.0 -
I am a 'Lurker' and not a poster but I have been reading this thread from the start and it is fabulous! I am about tomake some Reindeer Food and I thought I had taken a copy of the label that has been used - unfortunately I cannot find it and now I can't find any of the posts with the labels on the thread. Can any of you lovely ladies provide me with a PDF for the label for the Reindeer Food?0

I made some choc oranges in an orange slice silicone mould. I just used a few drops of orange flavouring from Asda. It comes in a small bottle like the food colourings and was under 99p.
I added a few drops to the melted chocolate and just kept tasting and adding more until I was happy. They were lovely and so simple!0
