Scrolled back to see how chocolate spoons are done..........is that any old chocolate melted down or special cooking choccy ? Never done these before and quite lethal near a cooker..............lol Managed to retrieve a few plastic spoons from the service station when we came back from Scotland...........choccy spoons would go well with the choc lic I'm getting for grandkids but I don't want to make a mess of it.
All I've done today is varnish an index box I'd covered for recipes for sons girlfriend and cover a couple of notebooks with some off bits of fabric..........still, I'm getting there (I think)
Must get some chocolate bars to do the rudolph wrapping............trip to out sweet shop needed I think.............list gets longer............lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

cuddles, I have taken a scrap of A4 craft paper and measured around 1 bar, then cut it out and used that as a template for all the others, to ensure they were all the right size. I've used double sided tape, piece in the middle and then 2 smaller pieces, 1 at either end. make sure that the tape is as close to the edge as you can possibly get it without it showing. if you measure the wrappers the right size then they will fit around the chocolate bar tightly enough not to fall off but loose enough to be pulled off to enjoy! As you can see with the reindeers and snowmen I did, I made them a bit longer at either end and then ribbed the paper. This gives a neat finish, plus helps them to stick together!!!

Thanks.
I don't have a ribber, so can't do that.
Think I may have cut the paper a bit tight.
May try again with bigger paper.
Off to work now, but I'll look in later.:cool:Jack of all trades ... Master of none

Hey all. lovely crafts being made as usual. :T
I have got nothing done in almost 2 weeks now, bar one card!!!! but still i keep on buying things!! SLAP for me!!
The main reason for this is because my craft room/ corner is a mess!!! since only taking this up recently I don't have a "proper" space. In the spare room upstairs i have put a table and bar that everything is in boxes on the ground!! its awful!! i can't find anything that I need and always forget what I have because I have to go hunting for it!
Now to make matters worse in that room the roof is slanted so i can't really put shelves upnot at the min anyway... so I need to try get drawers or something to get organised! cos the mess is putting me off! What does everyone else do??
I have googled craft rooms and in images there are some lovely ones!!! IF ONLY we could all do that!! lol
Any ideas are welcome!!that don't cost the earth because im proper skint from buyin so much stash!!! lol
HEEELLLLPPPP!!!
I bought a Trofast Ikea unit second hand from Ebay. They cost in excess of £79 (along with the associated trays) but I only paid £35 for meOK I had to go and collect but it fitted OK in the back of my Mondeo estate :T Sadly no room in the house for me to even consider a craft corner never mind a room so everything I have is in storage boxes shoved in the wardrobe. Time to buy a new house methinks :T
Flyingpig - love the mugs.
Oh and saw some friends this afternoon who've put in some orders for ES Mints and some cards and Reindeer food  My first paying customers :T
Where can you get edible glitter from then ladies? For a price that won't cost the earthI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I'm going to have a go at the chocolate spoons, i've got the chocolate, and after spending ages looking for the white stars in the chocolate aisle in morissons, i found them with the cake mixes..........
But i did find in morissons christmas chocolate aisle, a bog of toffee called reindeer noses, not sure what they are, only had £5 on me and i'd spent that, maybe someone knows what they are.
Next question, again, those lovely snowman cups, can you put any old cup in the oven, as i wouldn't mind having a go at decorating my own.
thanks0 -
Sorrrrrrrrrrrry another question
how much do you guys charge for reindeer food bags? What do your bags weigh in the end?

Just quickly popping on to say Hi and well done with all the fab makes. Have received my SU punches today and am so excited as I can now take them with me tommorrow when I visit my sister and we can play!!! :j
Now I just need to get on with my list (of makes) and make sure that I have enough for everyone!!.Wishful Thinking is free!0 -
Hi Saint_Chris -
Any old cup will do ...... for snowman soup mug.
As for BOG reindeer noses ...... I think they are red candy coated chocolate balls (if you'll pardon the expression) I didn't manage to get them BOGof cos it was the last packet in the shop!!
Mary -Op Chocolate Spoons
Seeing as you will be dipping these in hot chocolate .... I wouldn't use best chocolate ........ I think I used an Own Brand from the Co-Op or Tesco. Cooking chocolate melts the best - so you could mix half and half???? (just an idea)
I just melted the chocolate and filled the spoon bowl using another spoon.
Edible Glitter - I got some from E-bay - cheaper than HobbyCrafts.
Chocolate Stars - never thought to say they were in with the cake mixex in Morrisons ...... sorry ..... when I looked on Saturday they had some very nice sugar snow flakes ..... that would look nice on spoons.0 -
flyingpig -thanks for that. Might use co-op own brand then OH can pick it up for me with the shopping.:)
Oh............should have asked..........how much chocolate do I need to melt ? Not sure how many I'll do yet. (sorry if thats a daft question)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
