HIJACK THIS HELP PLEASE
I've been having problems with my pc for a while. I cant get on facebook pages, I can't add items to basket (like debenhams) whilst internet shopping.
I sell alot on ebay, and I cant relist at the moment or edit. I've been on to support who says its a problem my end and that its the internet connection speed. I'm with sky 10mb.
I've cleared the cookies, and caches, but am totally lost as to what to do next? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Many thanks x

Could be a problem with your connection or your computer. Do other sites load ok?
You could test the speed with something like www.speedtest.net. I have a download speed of 15.61 mb/s and ping 303s upload 0.33 mb/s
I have no idea what any of item means so help is veyr much appreciated x0 -
I can't believe your download speed - it's faster than the line is rated at. The upload speed looks more realistic as it's always a fraction of the download speed, but not way off mark. The ping result seems a little high, although things are obviously working.
It looks like you use Internet Explorer 8. Do you have another browser installed, like Firefox or Chrome, that you could try?
You appear to have Norton ant-virus and firewall as well. Although Norton has a reputation for interfering where it's not wanted, as the system was working before, I wouldn't immediately look to that as the problem.
Try the speed test again and see if you get similar results.

Your test results show a very fast download speed - faster than the 10Mb service you say you have. That aside, your ping response is a bit slow - something like 30 to 40 is more typical, but it's still working.
Can you uninstall McAfee as you don't need or want two antivirus services?
Can you try your ebay pages with Firefox and see if you still have the same problem. I stil get error in the firefox pages aswell. In fact it shows as script error at times in firefox. I shall locate the Mcafee and uninstall now.

Uninstall McAfee via Add or Remove and then run the McAfee Removal tool from this link.............
