Telewest contract problem

I have had Telewest broadband for 9 months in previous address and 5 months in current address. Now I am moving home again. Unfortunately, new address has already had telewest service less than 6 months with another person. Telewest said due to their rules, no multiple accounts can be in same
address, so I can't transfer my service to this address, and that I have no choice but disconnect my service and have to pay rest money to fulfill 12 month minimum period.

I feel that I am screwed up and have to lose money against my will. And I even can't find place to complain. My loyalty to Telewest worths nothing at all.

Anybody can help me?

I think you should Phone Ofcom for advice on 020 7981 3040. Let us know how you get on.

Thank you. I've just talked to Ofcom and they suggest I contact Telewest high level complaint manager first and then complain to CISAS if not solved.
CISAS is COMMUNICATIONS & INTERNET SERVICES ADJUDICATION SCHEME. Telewest is member of it.

Not the first time I've come across this type of problem. They also door knocked extensively in Ashford area and some people who now want to move away where there is no service are stuck with the balance of the contract. I think many more complaints are due!

Your situation is particularly unfair, but they won't budge without a fight. Consumer power will get there in the end.
