Claire - is it just the novelty earrings that are selling or is it a mixture?

Bit annoyed as both my daughter's car and my car have been vandalised. The wing mirrors have been broken. Obviously some idiot decided to walk up the hill and try to break them all because the next couple of cars up from ours seemed to have had their broken as well.

So annoying because it is just mindless. My one is not as bad as my daughters, as mine is still useable, but they both clearly need fixing.

Aww sorry to hear about the cars  it makes me mad when people think that they can go around vandalising peoples property.

  • Oh Tenmah that is awful.

    Gits !!

    I am back from Morrisions.

It was exciting. First I went for a walk run the lake and then down to the high street. Didn't get much in the end. the guinea pigs did better then me.

And then I walked home in the rain and got wet through to my knickers. but have done my 10,000 steps.

Oh that is a shame (in one way) although at least it gives you an idea of what people like.

I have to be honest and say I couldn't understand why people were saying put your prices up because handmade jewellry is such a competitive market.

It is interesting that they said put the prices up, but they didn't buy anything!

Again being honest, I can't afford your prices :o and even though I know how much hard work goes into handmade stuff (my daughter makes cards) I still think people won't pay high prices.

Thats why I try to keep my prices low< I couldn't fford my prices either if i put the price up too much.

plus if a bracelet say for example cost £2.50 to make i'd feel greedy asking £10 for it

Tenmah, that happens a lot round here. I'm surprised my new car hasn't been vandalised yet. If it's the passenger side mirror you can legally drive without it, and Halfords do replacement mirrors that you just stick over the broken one.

Tenmah, I agree, when I was doing craft fairs people would always say they couldn't afford the prices of the other stalls, I wasn't bothered about making a profit so I priced just to cover costs and not labour. But I was often told on forums that I should be charging more, that people are happy to pay more for handmade - not in Yorkshire they're not! I still look at prices of stuff in upmarket shops/craft fairs and think how overpriced it is, mainly because I know how much the beads etc cost and how long they take to make. Claire, I think your prices are about right.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
