    Afternoon all,

Sorry I've not posted since last week, but had a bit of a wobbely Friday (life is not good when you argue with hubby at 6:30 am!)

    So, back on track.

So far this weekend I have/will do:
    • went food shopping with a list and came in under-budget
    • tried to have LSD's wherever possible
    • parked in the railway station car-park (£3 all day rather then £1 per hour in the shopping centre car park)
    • MS job yesterday for lunch (hubby paid so will make an extra profit on that assignment)
    • MS job for lunch today
    • need to get my monthly rail pass
    • sorted out the MS finances - not too sure how much info HMRC need so putting down all the details in the meantime til my first meeting with them
    • need to set up a meeting with HMRC to discuss what info they need
    • need to print out the assignment notes and questionnaires for this week's MS assignments
    • need to look into more recepies - I feel the need to bake something
    • I need to make soup for the week
    • I need to catch up with things on the TV which we have taped during the week
    • I need to charge my phone up and send a text message to a friend who has got engaged
    • I need to catch up with this forum
    • I need to have a shower and get ready for tomorrow so I can have an early night
    • I need to keep my fingers crossed that my boss is going in to work tomorrow as I have a probationary review (she has a really bad throat infection and is keeping me updated via Facebook)

I think that this is all, take care everybody

V random, but I sometimes post on the "In my slow cooker today..." thread and a folk sometimes talk about making their own dog food. Think it's bits from the butcher etc https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2197233

had a google at the Makro website def need to be a trader, best way is to find someone who can get a card on theirs, I have been asking my absent minded friend for several months now!

I feel a bit 'sad' at times as really want a big stash of cash that i can buy loads of stuff to staff in the roof - loo rolls, bleach, olive oil etc.., stuff that lasts ages so i can really just eat whats on the allotment and in the freezer.

Today whilst 'recovering' from my dinner last night i have been investigating the freebie solar panels...for one company my roof is too old! Has anyone on this thread done it?

ms_london...sorry you dont have a job..neither do I, my days range from optimisum to raging depression and stress...am praying I get an interview for a job I really REALLY want

    :)
been away for a while..need to get on financial track!

  • Sunday update
    • went Mr T yesterday and spent £26. With cupboard / freezer stuff we are meal planned up to an including Thursday.
    • walked the dogs this morning. Was throwing it down with rain but that meant nobody else about. As such the St Bernard was able to go diving in the lake loads of times rather than staying on lead (PS both dogs now comatosed!)
    • Loads of washing still to dry as weather awful.
    • Ironing pile also breeding
    • Daily clicks done but nothing showing as registered yet for the weekend. Fingers crossed they appear tomorrow
    • persuaded OH that we should concentrate on paying off certain debts over next 6 months. Feel happy that we can now do that.
    • Also set up savings scheme in case if unexpected bills
I kow the correct MSE way is put all money into debts but we felt a sum of money for emergencies would be good and would stop us dipping into CC if the eventuality arose.

    CB
  • Have been for a 30 min walk... 1st exersize i've done in absolutely ages - no doubt will have stiff legs tomorrow!

Realised the chilli i took out for lunch tomorrow for me and oh was actually hotpot which is mainly potatoes and we're avoiding carbs - so dinner for dog!! just heating it through!!

redsam- I'll ask my bother - he has his own company and a costco card so may well have a makro card.
In relation to the solar panels I applied to all the suggested sites - 3 said that they were not operating in my area (manchester) and the other said my roof wasn't facing the right way ... boo!
Fingers and toes crossed for the interview for the job you want.
the reason I'm stocking up so much now is becuase both me and OH are expecting redundancy in April so really trying to get my but in gear and get out of debt but stocked up ready for when it happens.
Have wasted june july august and september not really beign foccused! Could be much further onto being debt free than i am!!
Nevermind - back on track now!

will check in tomorrow - am off to do a calandar of now til christmas to put my weight chart on and my money saving on...must stay focussed!

To serve - transfer to a punch bowl and ladle into warmed glasses making sure you include some of the fruit in each glass. Serve hot.

Sounds great - will give it a try when I'm feeling adventurous. Thanks for the recipe! :)
