  • Morning all,

Had a lovely day yesterday with my parents, was treated to a very nice lunch and gave my list of items I would like when they get back from one of their annual trips to Italy (dad is Italian so the return often) Cannot wait for proper pasta!

So my DFW list for today:-

    • [STRIKE]Check cats are fed and watered - put Lola outside[/STRIKE] Check and done. Lola is now not liking going outside :o
    • [STRIKE]Put a load of washing in[/STRIKE] In and washing
    • Ask OH to do the washing up :)
    • Try and find a table top sale in Lincolnshire
    • Do a small shop at Mr S - OH paying :T
    • Hopefully an NSD
    • Write a few reviews
    • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE] No surveys yesterday or today
Did so much yesterday morning the house is spotless and there is less to do which is great! I can have a relaxing Sunday!

Hope everyone has a great day.

I have bought enough dishwasher tablets ( on half price sainsburys offer plus coupons) to last all of 2012! Also enough washing liquid - for clothes. Before the vat increase goes up i need to stock up on dog food and cat food as I have plenty of storage space - so any ideas for cheap cans ( currently try not to pay more than £5 per 12 cans - but if you notice any offers please let me know!)

    list to follow

If you know anyone who has a Makro card, they are doing some cat food for £3.25 + VAT for 12 cans (not sure of the name - it's un branded as such) but its in a green labelled can. 4 varieties in Jelly, my cats seemed to like it. Otherwise the orange labelled cans in Jelly that they do in Sainsburys and Tescos (again not sure of the brand - sorry) is often 2 for £10 in Pets at home. Usually £5.27 in supermarket.

Think you can register at Makro as a personal seller - not sure how this works though and if there is a cost...

Hope that is of use :)

    Hi everyone

Today for me is laundry day! Have 2 massive bags and even if I don't get them all done then I at least need to sort through them to see what I've got where and what can be left for another day.

Also took some chicken out of the freezer - was going to slow cook - but don't think it'll defrost today.

OH is doing the dishes - I've just turned the water off so it's not on for too long.

Wrote some thank you cards - glad they are all 'letter' and not 'large letter' :D Small things!

Also trying to get through some wedding prep! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2520191

Hopefully can get lunches sorted for this week - going to see if there is a save on work lunches thread for October.

Might try to sort a meal plan for this week too - or is that OH's job for tomorrow???;)

Sorry for the waffle and lack of list, just trying to get my head in gear :)

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

Gloriously hot and sunny here already, we've just had our morning cuppa in the garden :D:D

    So today I have/will
    • checked banking - no surprises
    • buy beer and plastic boxes where I've discovered they are the cheapest -these are not linked :rotfl:
    • make a worm farm with the boxes for compost :D
    • go to the bottle bank with last weeks beer bottles
    • theatre tonight - we love going so a real treat :D:D
    • nice gentle day with OH, trying to persuade him NOT to spend  And we'll enjoy the sunshine

Have a great day everybody :A

Bought the boxes and then looked at Fay's links and redesigned them. And tried unsuccessfully to buy a water butt tap for draining the liquid.
So we've still not constructed the WF, but I'm on the case tomorrow. :D
Thanks Fay, we're going to have a super-Worm Farm :D

We didn't go to the theatre, my mind is still bubbling with web-sites/marketing plans/export & import so we just had a meal out. :p so I could bend Popeye's ear further :o

How did it go?! Also, possibly a bit off topic, but have you got a recipe for the punch as it sounds good?!

2 Red Apples, cored halved and sliced
    1.5L/50fl.oz. (2½ UK pints) Cider
    8 Cinnamon Sticks
    75g/3oz Raisins
    2 teasp Whole Cloves
    1 Orange, thinly sliced
    1 Lemon, thinly sliced
    120ml/4fl.oz. Lemon Juice

    Instructions

    1. Place the sliced apples, cider, cinnamon sticks, raisins and cloves in a large saucepan. Bring to boil then reduce the heat and simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until apples are just tender.

    2. Remove the cloves, and add orange and lemon slices, and lemon juice. Blend well.

To serve - transfer to a punch bowl and ladle into warmed glasses making sure you include some of the fruit in each glass. Serve hot.

It went really well, felt like an over stuffed turkey by the end tho!

    we had
mini cornish pasties, mini toad on the holes, pork loin, lancashire hotpot, fish pie, apple cheese sponge & raspberry crumble

    all washed down with
    spiced cider punch
    ginger wine
    sherry
    red, white and pink wine!

    feel a tad tired today so my list constists of;
    -watch telly
    -mooch on sofa
    -nap
-dont do anything on yesterdays list
    -def NSD!

    :rotfl:
