Cancelled Sky TV

Hi all,

I have been following a lot of stories on the net ect... and I have cancelled my sky tv package yesterday with the hope of them offerring me an alternative package.Unfortunatly they did not offer me anything.

Is there anything else that i can do so that they may offer me a cheap deal for sky HD ect... is it just a matter of holding my nerve and await a callback maybe... not really had much experience of this to be honest and just needed some guidance if anyone can help please.

Well you cancelled, finito, you sky package is dead, gone to a better place. Frankly, why would they call back now?
  • Sky have got wise to the "cancel to get a deal" strategy and very often will not offer anything at all. It also can be dependant on what package you are on and what time of week you phone. It used to be that CS staff were given so many deals to give out and once they were gone that person could give no more that week. Those on higher packages stand more chance of a deal than those on cheaper packages. If you have already cancelled all you can do is wait and hope OR if you really cannot exist without Sky then you can still reinstate within the 31 day cancellation period with no problems.

Thanks for your replies... if there was not any offers by Sky then I would most certainly get it all reinstated...

I have only just purchased my first ever HDtv and would want the hd box ect to get good quality...

May even look at Virgin or BT.

I contacted Sky for myself today. Currently have standard box only. Wanted standard sky+ and they said the best offer was £99 for the box and £60 installation.
