Anyone with a SonyEricsson Elm (J10i) PLS PLS HELP!

Hi, Can someone with a SonyEricsson Elm (J10i2) be kind enough to see if they can visit www.google.com/mail from the built-in browser on the phone? Do you get an error message?

A friend of mine is having problems loading Gmail or any other secure websites (SSL) on his phone. It was working fine until it suddenly decided to stop working on the 23rd September. Everything else works fine (normal websites etc).

Very grateful for any help! Thanks.

EDIT:
Forgot to say they are using mobile internet GPRS (not WiFi).

Just tried the website on my sons elm.
At first i got a error but if i connect to wifi on my phone and then turn the wifi off, I was the able to connect to www.google.com/mail using my mobile internet connection.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for you reply jessmist! I'll try turning on and off the WiFi but I don't think I'll have much success as I don't have a WiFi router to connect to. Thanks again!

You don't know how much you have helped jessmist. I have been having sleepless nights because Gmail stopped working on my friend's mobile and that is how we keep in touch as they live abroad. Thank you again. :-)
