I orderd a PC online from Cube 247 in March. When it arrived it was of such poor quality, looked tacky, very flimsy, sounded like a bag of spanners and the dvd drive refused to open.
When I contacted them their response was "repair it yourself. If you send it back to us we will probably return it weeks later with the same faults"
I requested a return and refund but their response was "We don't give refunds". Even though this was requested the same day as receiving the pc.
They refuse to honour the Distance Selling Regulations or their own terms and conditions which state that any item can be returned within 7 days. The attitude of their customer services is shocking despite my determination to remain polite at all times.
I decided to claim my money back through my credit card who then applied a chargeback. Once Cube heard of this they immediately agreed to pick up the p.c. However once they received the pc they then disputed the chargeback and the money was again taken from my card. They were actually trying to keep both my money and the pc !!!!!!
Over 6 months later, my credit card co. has finally managed to get my money back off them, and closed my dispute. :j
Cube 247 are a despicable company who think they can just ignore British consumer law. I know from contact with other members of this forum that they have done this to others on here. Please avoid them and save yourself the time and trouble you will be put through to get things sorted.
I wish I had.

Sounds very bad.
I've seen them advertise in magazines for sometime now and they do seem pretty competitive.
Sometimes the trouble is when prices are very competitive the service can be lacking elsewhere. Quite often it is build quality and/or aftersales services. Seems you have fallen foul of both of these.
Not really seen much feedback on the company, other than when they were on Ebay a while back, when most feedback was positive, but that was sometime ago.
Glad you got a result again.0 -
Thanks,
I too saw the reviews on Ebay. It was only after I had all this trouble with them that I noticed reviews on sites like Ciao saying the same as what I've experienced.
It was mainly thanks to the advice of others on here ( who had been through the same with them) that I got my money back.0 -
Glad you got your money back - I wish I'd read this before I bought a PC from them.0

why drag up an old thread
Why comment on someone dragging up an old thread?
Anyway, it's only a few months old, and as it appears that the company concerned is still trading, what's wrong with advising people of the sort of customer service that they may receive if they buy from them?
After all, this is the "Praise, Vent & Warnings board"0 -

I had no issues with my pc from them. It's now approaching 2 years old, and happy to use them again.

I'm glad you had you had no problems with your pc - nomoneytoday. I can't believe that everything Cube make is problematic and I am sure that some of their customers are perfectly happy. I would just like to bring it people's attention that some people have had bad experiences. If anyone wants to understand why I'm unhappy with this company there is a thread, which has now gone over to the next page about this company's reviews on Trustpilot. I thought people would pick up the connection but obviously not. I thought I had made an informed decision when I bought from this company but I didn't research it properly enough. All I can ask is that anyone who is thinking of buying from them looks at all the information available before making a decision. This includes reading every single review and looking at the reviewer's profile and the time it was posted. I don't usually consider myself to be stupid or naive but I appear to have been in this instance. If you want to see and judge for yourself please Google Cube247 and look at the reviews in detail. I have to say that since I placed my order some more negative reviews have been posted, but when I looked it was a sea of green five star markings. All I can ask you to do is take a look and judge for yourselves.
No I don't work for any rival computer company. All I am is a woman who wanted to buy a computer from a company I could trust who has been upset by the whole experience:(
Please note I didn't post a reply earlier because I was at work and I can't post to forums there.0
