Samsung C3050 - Can't hear caller/caller cant hear me

I have only had this phone since mid august and this is the first problem.

I was on a call earlier today then when I next got a call I could not hear the caller so hung up, this happened several times I could not hear the caller so they rang me on my landline instead. The caller couldn't hear me either. I have tried called my mobile from my landline, and my son has tried ringing me from his mobile and its the same each time, so the problem is definitely with my phone.

Any idea whats wrong or any solutions would be much appreciated. The instructions that came with the phone are very basic.

Is there a volume adjust button on the side - so when you are in a call, turn up the volume using the button as this article mentions.

I tried adjusting the volume it made no difference, and its both ways they cant hear me/I cant hear them.

Have you tried the speakerphone? Apparently there is a button for that on the right hand side.
If you have a sim card for a different network, might try that too - to see if its your network.

Might be worth just nipping into a local store of cpw or phones4u and getting one of the bods to have a quick look at it.

I decided to do the old computer trick and turn it off and back on and hey presto its back working again. Obviously I will keep my eye on it and see if it happens again. I was going to try CPW tomorrow as that was where I bought it, but looks like I wont need to now.
