Nokia 6700s slide - audio problems speaker

hello.

Has anyone else been experiancing problems with their Nokia 6700s slide phone?

I have had my Nokia 6700s for a few months now on the 3 mobile / Three Mobile network.

The first one I had had battery life problems - it lasted a day after a full charge.

Now i get intermittent problems with the speaker and mic.
Sometimes when i get calls people cant hear me but i can hear them and sometimes i can hear people but they cant hear me.

Anyone else had this problem?

I have always found Nokia battery life is not as good as (say) Sony Ericsson phones.

You might want try these to improve battery life (if you haven't already).

Turn the screen brightness down.
Turn off keypad tones
Turn off the back-light time to stay on (to say 30 seconds)
Turn off vibration alert.
Lower volume of ringtones.

And not use it basically for music (that would cause any phone battery to dry up quickly).

As for the speaker/mic - not sure, could be just blips in network coverage. Maybe try to hold the phone such that your fingers are not covering the antenna (not easy to tell where it is in phone though).
