All inclusive holidays in Egypt

Afternoon, I have a week left to take off before the end of the year but don't have much money. I would like to go somewhere hot so it's been suggested that I go to Egypt for an all inclusive holiday.
These type of holidays are completely new to me as I usually go for city breaks or more travelling type of holidays. So was wondering of I could have a little guideance please. I started looking and they really do seem to be pretty cheap, looking at around £330 upwards for around mid Nov at the moment. Will it still be lying on beach/pool hot around then?
It's a bit of a mindfield with regards to resorts, I guess Sharm el-Sheikh but that's really the only one I know about and I hear it's amazing for snorkelling. Are there any hidden costs or restrictions with these all inclusive packages that I should be aware of as I really don't have much more that the holiday price to spend.
It seems like with some of them you would be pretty resticted to just the resort but some around Naamba bay for instance said they were quite close to the centre and a couple of other beaches. That is the kinda of places I would perfer.
So any help, suggestions or info would be brilliant! Thanks very much.

Id you like it at 27 degrees instead of 40 then it will be perfect. Will it still be lying on beach/pool hot around then?
Egypt has a very dry climate so it's quite a comfortable heat. Not humid at all.
November is a perfect time to go IMO.
It may get a bit chilly overnight and first thing though as it is a desert.
It could be down to 10 degrees so you may certainly want a fleece for evenings.
See temepratures will be at their highest which is good.
You'd need to look at whether drinks are included. Are there any hidden costs or restrictions with these all inclusive packages that I should be aware of as I really don't have much more that the holiday price to spend.
Also tipping is very widespread/expected.
They'll be someone passing you loo paper & soap expecting a tip and someone wanting a tip at the airport for passing you a trolley etc. etc.
Of course you can turn down some of the more chancey types, but you would be expected to tip tour guides etc.
Make sure you get jabs before you go.
Take immodium with you and drink bottled water.
It's fairly standard to get a tummy upset even at nice hotels.0 -
we went to sharm el sheikh the november before last. weather was always around 30 degrees.
we stayed in the Sharm Cliff Resort which is around naama bay and was lovely. Had no problems with food and the people were lovely. its just up some steps from the main shopping centre but if you have mobility problems these probably arent ideal.
Snorkelling off the beach was great, fish everywhere!!
there is quite a bit to do in the way of excursions if you want to go down that avenue as well.
All inclusive generally includes all your meals, drinks and sometimes snacks etc.

Agree with the other comments. We love Egypt lovely & hot!
Been to Sharm twice both times to Nabq. It is quieter with a lot of hotels not near anything else. We did trips & lay on the beech. Nabq is developing though & some hotels are closer to the few shops & bars (nothing like Namma Bay which is very busy).
There is loads of info on trip advisor, as usual take the reviews with care they're personal opinions.0 -
We have been to Sharm and Taba both are fine depending on what you want. You can sunbathe in the day and the sea is warm but beware unheated swimming pools. At night you may need to wear light jacket/ cardigan.
You do get what you pay for with All Inclusive and if you are going to be there for more than a week you will soon get sick of the food. Sharm is Ok as there are restaurants and bars so you can go out and eat but it is much more restricted in Taba.0 -
We went to Sultan Gardens Resort, 5* AI, in Jan 09. Very good reviews on Trip Advisor and arranged through an MSE member. PM me if you want contact details.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0 -

I stayed here, not cheap, but very nice.
Maybe a Thomson late deal:money:0 -
Regarding restrictions on AI packages, you'd need to check exactly what you get.
Some hotels offer food 24 hours a day, others just have breakfast, lunch & dinner between set hours.
Some hotels offer international drinks 24 x 7, others serve local drinks only and between certain times.
Some hotels have a number of different themed restaurants, others just have the one serving buffet food.
Of course, as you'd expect, the more you get, the more expensive it tends to be.
I can't recommend anywhere as I've never been to the Red Sea resorts but when you'e found a hotel that you think would suit you, check out the reviews on Tripadvisor BEFORE you book.
As Auntycat says, read between the lines of the reviews as they are subjective rather than objective.0 -
Fantastic, thank you very much everyone for you replies. Looks like a good option then! Might try and find deal and perhaps come back with a few more questions!
Thanks again

I've just come back from Sharm and really enjoyed it, I didn't have much money but managed to do some trips - pyramids, boat on the Nile and quad biking in the desert, had a really good time and would definitely go back.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in
