The rewards are worked out on customer prices not our cost price. But the highest level you achieve is level 2 which you managed - level one is for orders between £78-£147.99, if you order £148 or more then you get level 2. You don't get both rewards though if that's what you mean.

Oh, that's odd - I was under the impression that there was another level for getting more than £250.

EDIT: Oh wow, all this time I thought there was another level... I feel like an idiot. I see now I got confused because of the earning £1500 over 6 campaigns. Guess I'm well on my way then!
  • Hi,
Please can someone explain how moneymakers work, what happens if you don't sell the products?
    Thanks :)

Moneymakers are products that Avon think will sell well. They give you the opportunity to buy these products from HT, when marketed as MoneyMakers at a reduced price, allowing you to sell them at full price, and make more of a profit than if the customer ordered from the brochure.

You are not invoiced until 2 campaigns after you have purchased the MoneyMakers, this is to give you an opportunity to try and sell them.

If you don't sell any MoneyMakers, you return them when you are invoiced so you are not charged for them. If you sell any, you just pay the MoneyMaker price, ie buy for £9, sell for £20. So pay Avon £9. Any that you have left that you have not sold, you return for credits.

    Good morning ladies :D

I started avon on monday and collected my first books yesterday (in the pouring rain) I had 4 orders totaling £48 and managed to get all but 2 books back - well chuffed!! And I had an order from a friend for £33, brill start.

Then I took books back out in another road - not so good, have been knocking on the doors and loads of people not interested. Am really glad I done this, saves losing time with books being out with customers who aren't interested.

I have 5 books left to take out today (gave up cos I was wet yesterday), plus 2 to try and get back! Fingers crossed 4 today that more people are interested :D
    07=£76.98 08=£757.60 09=£465 10=£983.92 '11=£105.50 2012= £2229:T

Are you a member of Costco or Makro? Or know anyone who is? You can bulk buy white plain carrier bags from them.

If you can find a market supplies company then you can get them there - they sometimes have a stall at the larger markets (got mine at North Weald, Essex). As Aureol says, Makro do them, but compare all the deals to get the cheapest.

Ok, so if I put on my next brochure (C17) ''buy fergie perfume and get lotion and body spray free'' then I can see how many people are interested and back order these from the moneymaker scheme in HT 18...is that right? Then I wouldn't have the risk of running out if I order them now and too many people choose the offer....
  • Well I have had a successfull pick up, 2 orders from new people and 3 people saying they would prefer not to have one which helps me out for next time. I did have one person say they had thrown it away but as it was the old book I just smiled nicely at him. ;)

    Lovely new thread :)

I made a FB group the other week but not much luck promoting it. I've read your advice about making a new profile for my Avon and was wondering if some of you would and me as a friend?

I have lots of friends over the country so will be adding as many as I can to this FB profile so maybe some of you will benefit from my "out of area friends" once we are all linked IYKWIM?
