  • Thank you all so much. You are all totally right. I've emailed my SL who basically just said dont worry. That didnt help much so I have said i'm going to forget about getting to targets etc and just put in whatever I get. She said okay but I dont think she is impressed. Oh well.
Sent a message to the lady organising the fayre too. Havent heard back but going to stop worrying now. It seems the f&f thing is easier than I thought, I thought I'd have to swap to it and let Avon know but its much easier if I just carry on as normal.
Bit of a shame that I'll lose out on the smart start bits as they were handy but not worth breaking my neck over.
I have a massive amount of stock that I ordered for the fayre so am going to do a FB sale and let hubby help with posting (he is good like that)
Your help and support has been fantastic - thank you all xxxx

I'm sure the people who are organsing the fayre will understand, there's not much that they can really do about it, you've just got to concentrate on you and the baby.
Good luck with the FB sale, im sure it will be a hit x remember you and the baby come first and avon last!!!! xx

No just doing f&f is easy enough, avon don't need to know other than for your territory to be removed, and you aren't penalised for ordering below mov - I have a few reps who started with good intentions, and for one reason or another just decided to basically just order for themselves so they still get the HT products cheap. I'm not bothered, as I know thats what I'd do myself lol.:D As for your sl sounding un-impressed - don't worry, she might just be having a bad day so its a bit more "bad news" - she'll realise it could actually be a good thing, I always think "yay" when I get an f&f rep as I know they won't have any territory problems to put them off lol and they are likely to stay for a long time as a result even though there orders are usually smaller.

I'd rather have happy reps that stay with me, even if they order below mov, than a rep who does a few campaigns but places large orders, then can't be bothered as territory is hard work so quits entirely.
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A
  • Well I think I'm going to brave the ice that we now have and deliever some books, hoping I dont slip over! but may just do neighbours as am slowly giving up on my territory- even tho neighbours are part of territory! I think the delivery date may put people off as its sooo close to christmas! my delivery date for c1 is 23rd December, so not sure if people will order but we will see :)

Is hoping that we have heating later on! having 3 children including a baby results in very cold and wingey children! so hoping the boss has sorted it out!

My delivery date is the same Chelseylou and I'm also wondering whether people will order so close to Christmas, particularly with the risk of items being out of stock etc. I'm only doing my regulars for this campaign anyway, as moving house next week so want to keep things as simple as possible. I'm giving territory a break for a few campaigns I think, I've given them 4 books, done a special offer, and given them the Christmas catalogues, and as they still haven't ordered, think it's unlikely they'll order in January.

Hope the heating's sorted for you today. It's freeeezing here!

I have told my regular customers that the delivery is then and if there is a problem to let me know and we can sort/arrange another time/day we will see!
I've been thinking the same thing about them ordering but i suppose some people will be doing last minute shopping! (I'm the same some times!!)

I've only got 2 orders from my territory since I started 4 campaigns ago! its been mainly f&f and me getting christmas gifts!

thanks, Im hoping the heating is sorted as well, wont be happy if it isnt! Its freezing here too!

Avon-ing in the snow - or rather out of the snow: I've got books to pick up today from a few local businesses. 2 have ordered before and given me their phone numbers, the other 2 I can get their numbers online. So I'm going to ring them up, take orders over the phone, and probably not collect the books at all. They're on backorder so I can afford to lose the books.

Got a collection on Sunday and that will have to be done in person because they're current books and I wouldn't be able to phone everyone.

Snow is getting silly now - it's so much deeper than last winter and keeps coming.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Yes, it looks bad up there in the North East! You have my sympathy!

At least you will show your customers how dedicated you are, going out in bad snow to collect books! :D
  • Think I must have been lucky with my order yesterday. I only had a couple of red crosses and a few yellow dots. Hoping my champagne glasses turn up this time.
  • Hi, can anyone recommend an Avon product that will reduce dark circles under the eyes ?
