i have had a customer asking constantly for samples

Does she ever buy anything? Problem with samples, particularly lippy, is that they last for ages and in my case, customer never bothered to buy full size so soon knocked that on the head. Supply both as full sized and charge for both. Tell her you will refund whichever one she wants to return.

I had a lady asking for samples for foundations, gave her a load as I ca't judge it with foundation, has she ever ordered any? No, last time she gets samples that easily!

Anyone having any problems logging onto the Avon website? Tried last night a few times and again this morning and it doesn't seem to want to work!

Mine seems to be working okay
  • Right so I''ve got all my orders now and I'm just over HOV, but when I look at the stock availability I've got three red crosses and lots of yellow spots, so if I put the order through and some of it doesn't come then that would take my invoice total to lower than HOV, so would that change my discount down to 20%, or would it stay the same because I've tried ordering things, even though they're not coming?

Hope someone understands what I mean!
  • If you're over HOV then you'll get it whether they are in or out of stock.

    Well done.

Oh good, wasn't expecting that. So in theory if you're short on orders one campaign rather than order things that would have to be returned later (due to customer returns, of course;)) you could order things with red crosses - chances are they won't come - to get the discount? Of course I wouldn't do that :A

Furby - I am on my first campaign so still seeing everything through rose coloured glasses lol! It sounds as though you have made the right decision though as you sound happier talking about it in the past! Good luck to you with any new ventures!! Just saw you are in the West Mids - we must be quite close, I am South of Birmingham! Take care xx

  • Just having a HUGE avon sort-out (boxes were taking over the room haha!) so excuse the list of questions!...

    1) Is the fergie perfume not in C18? Was hoping to sell a couple more before the money makers have to go back....when do these have to go back for?

    2) How long do you keep your copy of order forms for? I've got a bit of a build up and it seems silly keeping the old ones really....unless I'm missing something?

Thanks :) Hope fellow avon-ers are getting on well, despite the snow! x

Ding Dong, I was wondering the same thing about the copies of the order forms - also I am planning on giving a copy (don't know whether it should be the top or bottom copy) back to my customers with their orders ....is this right?

Can someone explain how the money makers work too please?

    Thank you :)

Yes, I give the customer the top copy and keep bottom copy for myself, not sure how long for though!

Money makers are for sale in H.T a couple of campaigns ahead of a special offer, I've only ever done one which is the fergie perfume where you could buy the whole set for £9 each (providing you bought a certain number of sets i think) then they come on offer for customers to buy a couple of campaigns later (the set was on offer for £14 i think) so you have the potential to make £5 on each set you sell.

You don't get charged for them for 2 campaigns (got 2 campaigns to sell them)
If you don't sell them, you just send them back and they don't charge you for them! So it's win-win really!

Someone will probably come and explain much better than that haha!
