Tell them on Avon Connects to go on the Inland Revenue's Self Assessment course, which is free of charge, and you can claim the travel to the course as part of your self assessment! They will show you exactly what you can claim for, how to claim, especially as an Avon Rep, and what you claim as expenses, etc.and how to complete your self assessment form.0

Unfortunately not, but what type of product(s) was it that she was after? Might be able to work it out from there.
she keeps talking about different products, she mentions a skin cream that is similar to luminosity, she wants to see a book, so she can show me what she used to buy.0 -
Ah ok not much to go on then! Was hoping it might be something simple but that would be too easy lol. Only started Jan last year so 2008 products are too far back from me to know as I never used to see a brochure.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

she's quite hard work to understand, she has a very strong grenadian accent, and even when I try to coax the stuff out of her, what she used to buy, what she is interested in,.. etc. I don't get anywhere. I did give her a current book but she said she couldn't find the items in there.0

Hey all, am in the process of going through the brochures and HT to get stuff ordered for the Christmas Fair I am doing. From others experience, do you sell much make-up or is it mainly gift sets etc. I don't know whether to buy lipsticks/eyeshadows etc in a few different colours. Any ideas greatly appreciated. xEveryone loves a bargain :beer:0

well, I will tell you my experience yesterday! My £1 make up sold well! It was old stock that I had got through creative ordering and just wanted it shifted!
I got asked a lot for mascaras, but they wanted them at £1, I didn't have any.
I sold one hairbrush set at a loss to a little girl, as I felt sorry for her. Book price £3.50, she bought it at £2.
I sold a few nail varnishes at £3, but not many.
At my Avon party, a few of the customers liked the avon shimmer "Christmas" hand cream.
at the school fair yesterday all the children wanted something for £1 or under, as Christmas presents for their Mums, Dads, and Sisters (age 10)!
I can't buy her shower gel for £1 or a deodorant!
I was stuck next to the Body shop lady! I kept an eye on her, and she didn't seem to make much more money than me. Although a lot of people did go to have a look, she told me they get discounted stuff, cheaper than the shop. Everyone who took a Body shop book, I gave them an Avon book!
I had eye shadow pallets, I had shower gels, bubble bath, nail varnishes, the christmas hand cream, body lotion, lip balm.
the only thing I really sold was nail varnish and a couple of bubble bath and shower gel. And most of my £1 makeup, lipsticks, eyeliners.
I think it depends on your crowd.0 -
