This may have already been answered but..
Why do we have to pay roaming charges when the networks we are on operate in the countries we visit, for example i spent a week in spain and not once was i on the moviestar network, i was constantly on orange, (my home network).
Seems a complete rip to me, i was scared to turn the data roaming on on my phone!

Your not on your home network your on Orange (Spain) not Orange (UK).
Same company name as they have a common parent but different companies really.0 -
More expensive than it should be. The EU cap has bought the calling rates down a lot in Europe (and strangely they have gone up elsewhere!!)
Saying that the new T-Mobile roaming bundles are a step in the right direction (by far the best of any network)
Euro Internet 3MB £1
Euro Internet 20MB £5
Euro Internet 50MB £10
It's a shame none of the networks do like T-Mobile used to do with their 'like home' or Vodafone don't do a passport like feature for data. I *may* for the first time use data abroad (above a couple of KB) next time I go away as the bundles above make it OK for lowish use without the hassle of getting another SIM. Added advantage is the 'flexible booster' can be changed to a £7.50 allowance for EU use.0 -

Funny that. We also lost 12 month contracts, free voicemail, Free itemised billing when the EU forced ion these limits.
Each and every time the EU has brought in fixed rates something has gone up in my mobile bill to compensate.
I wish they'd keep there noses out out, I'd rather have a cheap bill and know the costs if I use the phone overseas than subsidise some 18 year old who does not know better than to sit on a beach blotto'd and call and facebook thier mates that they are on said beach and will then moan about costs when they get the bill despite having texts about the cos tthat they ignored.0
