Cheap short break ...... Dublin????

I'm going to Dublin with my pal in a couple of weeks time. Staying at North Star Hotel in Amiens St. Flights cost £155 for the two of us and hotle £185 for 2 for three nights. We've stayed there before so we know what to expect. Any ideas on cheap-ish places to eat would be much appreciated.
We visited Kilmainham the last time we went and it was really interestting. Also enjoyed an open top bus tour there. Highlight though was the night we met two Aussie couples who had been touring Europe. Great company, great night.0
