Don,t worry about what you look like when you go to bed! Wear a woollen bobble hat to keep your grad and ears warm! They're the only part of your body exposed to a cold room temperature.9

It is frosty and sunny today. My husband and my dog are still in bed so I will air out the house and then put the heating on for an hour or two. I will put it on again after sunset.
I am going to make a couple of draft excluders with tights and newspaper today as I moved the furniture around the other day and I'm noticing where the drafts are coming from. I need them to block off the bathroom and the kitchen doors.
I am wearing an extra long M&S cardigan I got from a charity shop instead of a dressing gown and it is working quite well. I prefer to wear something less bulky than a dressing gown and the layering seems to work. I'm going to look for a couple more this week or next for when I wash this one.9 -

Definitely a hot drink in the flask here. We add a bit more ground coffee to the filter to make a second pot of coffee, or top up the teapot with boiling water, to fill the flask. We have a flask when we have our morning mug of tea in bed. We have a bottle brush from the market, and a regular overnight soak with some Oxiclean keeps the flask clean and fresh.7

It was -1 degree and thick fog when I woke up today it cleared for a while then came back again this afternoon. I've had my heating on at 17/18 degrees for the last couple of days as I had a fall on Tuesday afternoon and hurt my ribs and back. I've stayed in my nightie and dressing gown as Im struggling to get dressed comfortably. Stay safe and warm everyone.7

The weather at home isn't sounding too good.I post from much sunnier climes and technically 1:25am tomorrow since I am 8hrs ahead! But it is so pretty unbearable at 34°C and very humid in the daytime. If we could add the 2 temperatures together and divide by two we would have an ambient environment between us! It has reminded me of just why it is I stay put in the summer, the British summer at home cannot be beaten IMHO.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -
@Auntycaz, wishing you a speedy recovery.
I have booked in to have a covid vaccinne and flu vaccine at the same time tomorrow at the local chemist via nhs booking system. I have not had a flu vaccinne before and people have
talked about how they have suffered wth a flu like illness following the vaccine. Has anyone on here had experience of this?

Had both together same arm a month. Ended up with a v bad cough for a week and feelings of exhaustion but have other quite serious health issues including previous pneumonia so expected some issues. Other I know have been fine apart from usual slightly sore arm for couple of days. Better to have it done than not!7
