OFF. Not expecting to use heating until November. Amazed at the need for heating in mid-September. We live in a mild temperate maritime climate in UK.0

Ours is still off but there does seem to be a chill in the air the past two mornings. We did switch to the winter duvet already. We still have all our windows open during the day, though.2

Northwest England here heating off, cold in a morning and evening though, I have been in sweatshirts and socks thick legging during the day, the sun if out is warm but if cloudy decidedly chilly.I have been sat under a fluffy throw in the evening with a sweatshirt over my pjs.my feet and other extremities have been freezing.
At the moment I am still using a 4.5 quilt with my dressing gown over if needed but the window is on vent.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
East England here. No heating on yet and nowhere near going on tbh. The mornings and evenings are certainly more Autumnal, but not cold enough for heating. We have a big SE facing windows at the front (living room and bedroom) so it's not even feeling cool in here yet.
I was thinking of maybe possibly put a thin duvet in the cover on the bed - we sleep under just an empty duvet cover like it's a thick sheet and that's been plenty warm enough so far, even with the window open a wee bit - but the nights are starting to chill off now.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.1 -
South east region here and still off. However I,m quite disabled so eveni walking around the house to keep warm is a challenge. House well insulated (double glazing, cavity wall insulation and 10 inches in loft) but still feels cool. Time to dig out my thick padded gilet and the winter duvet! Meanwhile doing brief "marching on the spot" sessions to ward of the chill.1

Its noticeably cooler in the mornings in Southend, but still pleasant. Daytimes are still warm.
Am dreading having to flick that switch and will hold out for as long as I can.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
OFF.been off since end April this year. West coast of Scotland, getting a bit chilly early in the morning but its warm by 8.30am.Used the duvet for the first time in months last night. Power company been out to check my meter because my gas usage is 2 units a month over the summer,I pay more in standing charges than actual gas at the moment."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".2

Still off here. A new build in the south west, so still hitting 26C indoors this week, with no heating! Definitely cooler outside last couple of days, but can't see needing heating on until mid October at the earliest. Hopefully longer.February wins: Theatre tickets1

No heating on here. Like others, I'm holding out until I really have to have it on. There's definitely a chill in the air and the nights are drawing in earlier.
I'm debating about getting a new winter quilt, as the one I bought a bought a few years ago hasn't lasted as well as id hoped, even with washing.
My washing machine isn't big enough to take a winter quilt and it costs almost as much to take the quilt to the launderette as it would to but a new one, so am debating what to do.
Fortunately a friend washed it for me, but it does need cleaning before i use it this year.
I don't want to be wasteful and purchase a really, really cheap winter quilt and bin it after use, but am curious if i could layers of blankets/throws/thinner washable throws i am able to get into the washing machine instead.Decluttering campaign 2023

Just discovered the reason why my house has been bloody freezing today. Still got all the windows in the attic room that I never go into wide-open from the heat wave earlier in the year. I’m an idiot. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.7
