That's more like it - well done to your OH. In "giraffe" the g and f are not legs or else frog would have more legs. Only query is the "a" which could possibly also be a leg - giving 4 as the answer, but I'm going to go with your answer of 3.

That was exactly my thinking that just because the other animals are mutant variations with unusual numbers of legs they just ask how many legs has a giraffe got and everyone knows they have 4.

But maybe i'm looking at it too simply xx

Is it something to do with the picture in the puzzle? if you count the legs of the other animals it looks correct (ok you can see only 5 on oneside of the rhinoceros) the frog and the spider both show 2 and 4 legs and the giraffe is showing 0 legs in the picture, therefore the giraffe as 0 legs?

I wonder what happened to their September comp.
It is now showing up in their previous answers but it didn't show on the site during September.

Thanks for all your ideas - didn't have any myself. Have gone for 4 legs as that is the answer to the question.

If we are looking at the picture as a guide, maybe the answer is 0 because it doesn't have any in the image.

I wouldn't use the picture as a guide. I think it's only there to illustrate the page. In August's comp the answer was 200 eggs and the picture was a box of 6 eggs.

I am also puzzled by the no show for September's comp. I check the site regularly until the comp appears, but the "eggs" one was still showing throughout September until it appeared in the "previous answers" section! I wonder if anybody won it?
