  • I ordered one today too. Took a couple of hours as I changed layouts & inserted text, but it will be a wonderful keepsake. I've made a baby book covering my son's 1st 8 weeks. Hope to use my husband's details tomorrow to create another one covering the next few months!

I have spent the last couple of hours doing this. The site will allow me to upload photos but not start the book. I will NEVER look at this site again. I would prefer to pay the full amount with another site.
  • Just to say that I ordered my second book from this site today using my husband's details and had no problems at all. I've used sites like this before & found the upload & design process really easy. Can't wait for them to arrive!

A hint for anyone using this - if you have any option, do it from somewhere with a reliable internet connection! Our home connection is a bit temperamental and often disappears for a minute or 2 before coming back. The photobook editor crashes every time this happens and you have to start from scratch  But I finally succeeded in my lunch break at the office yesterday (loading the pics from a memory stick, you don't have to download any software or anything). Maybe I'm the only one with this problem but thought I'd mention it just in case! Can't wait for it to arrive - looks great! Thanks to the OP!
  • I have made two of these, one each for dd and ds as a memory of two years living in Cyprus...hope they turn out well ! I'll let you know !
  • One arrived today...its fantastic !! I highly recommend these x
  • just popped on to say that mine arrived yesterday...it's perfect :j

Well worth the £3.95 postage and exactly how I expected it to look - considering doing another one now! :D

    IM GETTING MARRIED :happyhear
  • i have tried 5 times to do the photobook, but it just didn't seem to work - lets me upload the photos, then it just vanished!!! i had almost given up,but am glad i didnt as i finally did it!!!!!!

This is a complete waste of time. It just does not work. I have tried for at least 3 hours a day most days for nearly a week and am furious. It just crashes once you are near the end. I emailed their customer services team and was assured I would receive a reply within 24 hours. Days later and I have still heard nothing. So annoying as I spent so much time on it.
  • Helo. Just thought I'd update you on my 7th attempt of using this site (www.albeli.co.uk) to get the photobook offer.

I have tried in vain to get this to work ... spent best part of a week trying to get it to work. Got so far and it crashed every time. Final time, managed to get to the end (took 4 hours) ... went to click on order and an error came up ... well the error box came up with no eror message and the only options were "OK" or "Cancel" .. and as I did not have the wrror, i did not know what to click on.

I have already sent 2 emails to customer services who promised to reply within 24 hours .. and neither time did they. So I resorted to phoning their customer services which states 10p per min. I was dubious as it was an 0905 number and I only have a mobile so when I got through, I asked the lasy to confirm the call charge when calling from a mobile. She stated it was definately 10p per min from mobiles.

The conversation basically was pointless as she didn't help at all. She spent most of the 5 minutes or so going "erm, well, um  I don't know". She promised to look into it and get back to me and tried to get off the phone. I asked her to take my number but she said she couldnt phone me back. She said someone would email but they didnt the last twice so Im not holding my breath.

So I decided to check with O2 how much the call had cost and the call had cost nearly £7.00! For a few minutes of "ums and ers". And also their customer services are in Amsterdam!

I am really unhappy about this whole thing. Is it just me having problems? Sorry for the long-winded rant but I have wasted a whole week doing this as I wanted a special present for my niece (the photobook was of her).

Luckily O2 credited my account with the call charge which was wonderful and totally unexpected so I was really appreciative of that.

Just wanted to warn you guys in case anyone else gets caught out.

Im going to have a coffee and calm down. And to make matters worse I had some chips to make me feel better (lol) which defeated the going to aqua aerobics this morning. What a day!
