Fiesta and two children

I wrote off my fiesta almost seven weeks ago in a carcrash (also broke me neck, but hey ho) and am desperate to get another one.
The thing is I am heavily pregnant and just want to check I can fit a double buggy in boot (been looking at safety first dual ones as they are cheaper). My Quincy buzz just bout fitted in boot with the wheels taken off and that's a big buggy.
Can anybody advise/ recommend a double buggy. If I really can't fit a double in a fiesta, gona have to look at upgrading, but I loved my lil fiesta cos it was small.
It was the old shape from about 2000 and I'm thinking similar again.

I personally would say if you are looking at a new car, I would go straight away to a people carrier.
As you have two children, there is a strong likelihood you will be having friends back to play, etc.
While it seems a long way off, my youngest is 3 and other child 6 and I have been needing a people carrier for the last two years to fit in with helping with school runs, after school clubs etc.0 -
A people carrier is a car with 7 seats, is that right?
I don't think I should be buying a car with the intention of ferrying other people's kids around, plus I should think it is out of my price range.
My daughter is 2 next month and I am due in November. Preschool and school are walkable distances and I would be happy to walk home with my neighbour's children.
If I can't find a buggy to fit in the fiesta, I was thinking more along the lines of a focus, but nothing bigger!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Whatever you decide, go for a 4-door version - much easier to get things into the back.
We've just changed to a Fiesta from a Peugeot - this is the second Fiesta we've had. It's a 2004 4-door Fiesta Ghia and we're impressed with the amount of room it has. I'm sure you'd be able to get a buggy into the boot!
The only thing about it is, I think you wouldn't be able to fit a rear-facing baby seat in the front passenger seat. We don't need to, but I notice there is a little picture at the front with a bar across it, the kind of diagram that says 'no'.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

We have 2 children and a skoda fabia. I can't recommend it highly enough.
We go camping with it without needing a roof rack. It's more spacious than you'd imagine for such a small looking car and it's extremely reliable. Several parents I know have one and all say they wouldn't have anything else.
It's worth comparing the 2 cars as the skoda may be cheaper too.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
I'll look into the skoda, thank u.
I paid £1,300 for my last fiesta and don't really have much money for my next one as I had a big excess on my insurance policy.
Deco going to get 5 door car as that's what my last one was. Made it easy for me to put daughter in car. We always had her in the back anyway even when she was in the babyseat, so that wouldn't really matter when i have the next one.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

But would a double buggy fit in boot? That is my primary concern as if I can't, then I'm in trouble. Everything else bout my fiesta was fine, I no it was small, but I liked that.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

I wouldn't let my kids read Fiesta.0

I have 3 children and have never needed a people carrier, maybe you could try a Ford c max .....0
-
Phil and teds sport folds down really flat when the wheels are taken off, I used to have a maxi cosi mura 3 and this is much better and lighter to get in and out the boot and i find it lies almost completely flat giving you 95% of your boot room if the wheels are taken off!0

Thanks everyone for their replies.
I think what my plan of action will be is to borrow my brother's Alfa Romeo 147 (which used to be ours) and see what fits in that. He wants to sell it anyway, not for as cheap as what I can afford, but I can always owe him the money.
Can I take it to Mothercare and ask them do you think and will they let me test what will fit?Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
