Monthly draw win was not £100 but £250 . New outfit and Jimmy Choo perfume for the missus , breakdown cover for me ( the way things are I think I am closer to a breakdown than the car ) . :j0

Back from our night away . Great concert , great hotel , great time had . Got a builder round to quote the work needed to be done to the chimney , a bit of pointing and the lead flashing fixing . Getting it done for £250 which considering scaffolding etc don't thnk is too bad . Getting the work done early next week , back to normality , juggling money already to survive the month . The good times don't last for long do they ?0

Building work done , £250 . Car breakdown cover arrived and they want £170 up from £120 last year . Never used their service so don't know how they can justify the increase . Week off in 10 days so I will shop around then , happy to pay £125 ish .0

Last day at work today before a weeks holiday . Going to use it to source cheapest breakdown cover I can find plus renewing the house insurance .
At the moment I am trying to find out why the boiler won't heat the house . Switched timer on , boiler fires up but doesnot heat the radiators , increased pressure to 2 bars so guess first job is to bleed the radiators . If that doesnot work then I guess it will be a costly engineer visit
DMP bad news this month as Barclaycard have reinstated interest on my account meaning that a monthly payment of £35-96 is having £18-27 worth of interest swallowed up so my £1700 balance is going to take twice as long to clear as I hoped  Think I might ring CCCS about it to see if they can get the rate decreased at best if not cancelled . I need to speak to them anyway because I have a debt to Egg who I believe Barclaycard have just taken over so I need to find out the details of this . According to my Egg online account no payments have been received for the last month and there has been no statements all year . Another job to do this week then .0 -
Back to work today . Fixed central heating , increased pressure and that worked . Renewed house insurance with a new policy , cheaper , money saving . Renewed breakdown cover , changed from one policy covering 2 people for 2 cars , now cars are covered on 2 seperate policies whoever is driving . Don't think the cover is as good if we need to call them out but fingers crossed I've never needed to use a breakdown company in 20 years . Just went with the cheapest combined price which was half of my renewal price .
Spoke to CCCS with regards to Barclaycard , the transfer from Egg is fine payment gone through ok , I am on a reduced rate of interest with Barclaycard for the next year so that stays , oh well , longer to pay off the debts now .0 -
