Well final post of the year most probably and although the plan to be debt free by now has not happened I am with happy with where I am at.
With regards to doing the jobs on my week off , all done except for the toilet overflow which is still running and as yet no funds for a plumber although this weekend our boiler started leaking so a plumber is calling this week to quote for the repair and I will see how much extra for the toilet . It will mean that Christmas will be another day but fixing the heating is priority at this time of the year .
Finally got a medical certificate from twins doctor so I can now proceed with his benefit claim and hopefully as well as getting him money he is entitled to hopefully he will get the specific help he needs to get into employment .
Looking ahead to next year I owe about 8 months payments for the dmp so I hope to spend the first 4 months saving up to pay the car bills and then after then save every penny to finish off the dmp early summer hopefully .

Happy and prosperous new year everyone
A quiet month for me , didnot get the toilet fixed , just switched water off and on when needed . Havenot got the boiler fixed , the leak stopped but we need to increase the pressure when it is on but that has always been required so although I know it is not working properly I hope it will get us through this winter and by next hopefully I can get it serviced and repaired .
Financial plan for this year is to save up and get car bills paid off in April , I switched my insurance in September to a multi car policy which means both insurances , one tax , one mot and two services will be needed in April . After getting through that it is the final run through to clearing the last of the dmp .
Another week off work the week after next , nothing planned except catching up on a bit of christmas telly and doing the annual accounts and planning for 2015 .

Month 1 of the year passes without incident . A few bad weather days causing problems getting to work but nothing too bad . I now have a new grandson making 3 grandkids and hopefully in 6 months I can look forward to treating them with spare money not with money that should be going elsewhere .
Twins benefit claim has gone through and he is now receiving money and although I have to take him for a couple of assessments I hope he will get the help he requires to get into employment .
I am saving hard for the car bills in 6 weeks or so , hopefully I will have enough but with servicing and mot I have no idea what may turn up ,
My final week off for the winter next week and with car bills and dmp payments still due I might turn my thoughts to a holiday at the back end of the year , just ideas nothing booked just to give me something to look forward to for life post dmp .

1st day of spring , happy St Davids Day to any Welsh readers . Cold , doom and gloom behind us with winter and sunny , bright mornings , sunsets in the evenings instead of the afternoon and spring in front of us . As I wrote last month I have have had my final week off for the winter , didnot do much but planning a break to York for one of my weeks off next winter .
Looking forward to March and April I have a mult car insurance policy renewal , tax mot and service for one car to pay out . I hope I have enough to cover these bills . Once they are paid my car will be ready for its 100 000 mile service . I have had this from new , 9 years ago , and touch wood it will see some life post dmp . When entering the dmp my main concern was the cars needing replacing and having seen this winter off hopefully they will see us through 2015 and a few years beyond .
Anyhow after this service there should be no barriers to completing my dmp and it will be all systems go for finishing sometime in the summer of this year .
