Thanks C, I kinda thought that but I just needed someone to verify it! :T
I'd better not go over - I really dont want to spend more than my budget!
I'm trying very hard not to get caught in the "it's Christmas therefore I must have at least three trolley loads of stuff I wont need/use " mentality that the SM's try to brainwash you into!

And so long as you use the £ to spend on Christmas groceries etc - no buying a pack of biccies in Nov and kidding on they won't be opened until Xmas day :rotfl::rotfl:

Know what you mean about getting caught up in the 3 trollys syndrome, these days the shops are only closed for a day at the most (some corner stores even open on Xmas day ) so why people feel they have to stock up with a years supply of food for one day I don't know, I mean just HOW MANY Quality Street can one person eat in a day???

Last year I ordered most of our Xmas dinner through Cook! who delivered everything frozen ready to pop into the oven. It was delicious and with the weather how it was I am so glad I didn't have to worry about the xmas dins, I did get a few extra items (mash, veg and pigs in blankets as Cook! didn't have these in their meal plan) and OMG M&S was bedlam - those ladies with walking sticks were the worst - if you got in their way thay had your ankles like a pro hocky player! :rotfl::rotfl:

Cant believe it! Only a few months ago I thought I was doing well reaching my first target of 5! For any newbies -be warned this is very addictive !
I agree Jinty, & you know what i can't ever imagine going back to buying needless groceries every day just for "something to do!!"
I have a NSD dilemma for you this morning:
I have been saving on Asda cards for the past year and I put the money away on my usual grocery spend days. I will be using them later in the month for Christmas purchases - do these days count as spend days or not?

I agree with everyone else on this, as long as you don't go over the value of the cards, it's not a spend, as you've already spent it!

It's been a close call this month (& i don't know why seeing as i spent half of it too ill to go to the shops ), but i can declare today as 16 & target met :j

It's been a productive day today, after rearranging the freezer I had loads more room than i thought, so as well as the curried lentil soup, which came out really yummy, i have made a meatloaf (which probably won't make it into the freezer as it will be perfect for this weeks lunches), 6 small salmon & leek quiches, just the right size for a meal for 1, 6 small black cherry pies & some pear & chocolate danish's to use up all the scraps of frozen pastry i found & the pears that were rapidly softening in the fruit bowl. Freezers full again now, but at least i'll only need minimal groceries for the next few weeks :j

Right off to sort out my costume for tonight's ball!!

    That's a tough one :o

It doesn't for me, 'cos when I spend them I drop the equivalent amount of cash into my sealed pot

So I'm in effect getting cash for the surveys, which I can then spend on anything I like and anywhere I can get a good deal on whatever it is

(I always take vouchers for Mr T, so it's my grocery budget that could be lower if I just treated them as 'freebies')
