  • :jLfV: well done for geting to no 13, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going.
Hope the karate competition goes OK

Well..........have ended up with whiplash  Got punched in the head a bit too hard and my neck sort of went like a noddy dog. Got her back though........

At least I didn't end up with two broken ribs like one of my opponents........wasn't me who did it I hasten to add.

Please remind me..........why is a 38yr old mum of three taking part in competitive karate competitions?

No more NSDs to declare, yesterday cost more than I had in my 'karate tin' and today I had to get some more money out of the bank to cover the rest of the month. Will have to go some to get target this month.
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

    Chilly one all round!
And even colder in the bakery than it was outside the store !!!!

Went to work this morning in a vest T-shirt under my blouse (to which I then added my Mitche!in man jacket and apron) and with a pair of long running trousers under my works trousers 'cos I knew it would be colllllld.

The store manager wandered into the bakery not long after I got there, and actually commented on how cold it was - and gave us permission to close up the slats on some of the vents (can't turn them off as they're on the same switch as most of our lights), which I did very quickly :) But the air still blows through at an angle, and one of them blows directly on the spot where I spend an hour plus packing the doughnuts :o By the time I'd finished doing that I'd lost all feeling in my fingers and my toes, and my nose felt like it should look like Rudolph's

When I came home at lunch I put a pair of thick running socks under my normal black work ones which helped - but I could only just get my shoes back on ;)

Got to put up with it again tomorrow morning - and now Wednesday as well, as one lady is off sick (with a serious cold from what I can make out - I wonder why) and I've been asked to cover her shift so the bakery manager can have a day off this week. I need the money (and the hours for WTC reasons), but nearly turned it down as I don't fancy turning into an iceberg three days in a row :(

    Good morning everyone!
Very frosty here today, just dropped OH off at the bus stop and its decidedly chilly!
Skin has calmed down a bit and yes, Spoon, I think you're right re last week. I need to pace myself a bit. I also think this outbreak is to do with a change of shower gel. The one I bought was meant to be "free of all known allergens" obviously not!
Well done you for choosing David Tennant for your partner for the ceilidh, I never thought of the added bonus of the Tardis! We could also have Captain Jack along as he is also Scottish (he can throw me around the dance floor anytime), although I dont want Euan to get jealous;)

Today Im off to buy a nice box of chocs for my Aunt and post some letters. Other than that Im doing nowt except peel some spuds for tea and ironing. So low spend for me today.

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

Are you sure Captain Jack is Scottish? Not that I'm complaining about doing a few turns with him on the dancefloor ;) (so long as he doesn't turn up in the Face of Bo stage) sounds like The Doctor will be very busy though :rotfl:

Small spend day for me today, went to visit a friend who I haven't seen since April couldn't turn up without something calorific to have with our tea ;) also needed milk and picked up some cat biscuits that Skip seems to have been longing for - she's just attacked the box on the worktop - cats deff aren't stupid lol! :rotfl: Car off to the garage tomorrow to have the heating fixed (hopefully) you have no idea how much it's required until you try clearing a misty windscreen without it... have a good evening all x

The one benefit of it is that I don't feel cold when I go out in the evening to walk the dog/do a run, even with less layers of clothes on ;)

Still haven't had the chance to catch up with the thread but I HAD to pop in and report today as my NSD 10 which means I've met my target - woohoo!! Chuffed to bits :):)

Hope you're all having a good Monday.

    honey x
  • Hi everyone, happy Monday :D

Today was a spend day as I had to go and get my prescription from chemist and also got myself booked in for flu jab and pneumonia injection which I have been meaning to do for weeks now, so I'm glad that's sorted.

Hoping tomorrow I'll be back on the NSD wagon again :D
    :)
  • I got to work today thinking I had 7 NSDs under my belt, and that I was going to make my target eeeeeaasy! But no, I only had 6, booo!

But I think I can still do it - up to the wire but there's nthing wrong with that.

NSD 7 today Spoon, and I'm planning them for tomorrow, Friday and Sunday. Fingers crossed.
