ARGH! Just finishing a long(ish) reply and then managed to delete the whole bloomin thing

    Take 2;

No NSD for me today, OH needed some more hair putty stuff after having his confiscated at the airport when he had to go up to Scotland while I was away last week. While I was having a spendy, I decided to stock up on butter and sugar for an apple and rhubarb crumble...unfortunately I am sans rhubarb atm as the (rather teeny) bunch in Mr S was no only £2.99 but from HOLLAND  I felt insulted for British rhubarb everywhere. So I has cheekily posted a wanted on Freegle to see if anyone has some spare from their garden until I can find some british stuff at a decent price.

I also went to get my free Glade (or Ambi Pur) candle and picked up the wrong on  was going to try and bluff it with the cashier but just decided to leave it for another day.

Tomorrow will be a spendy day as I need petrol - might pop into Mr M too while I have the chance - Cheryl, I'll look out for the michalin men :rotfl:

Cheryl- I could use the mild tranquilisers for my kitty when she's not at the vet - she can be a real b*gger at times, yet whenever she's at the vet, she suddenly becomes a little :A (although she has just come up for a rare cuddle - sitting with my just like the much missed Big G used to :heartpuls

Keiss - glad you are feeling a little better today. Where abouts in Scotland are you going?

OH spent 4 1/2 hours in the garden today (he's got some time off work atm) and it looks lovely and tidy, he's planning to tackle the house tomorrow - I feel almost redundant

Only other thing of notable news today is that it was a REALLY BAD day for the heather in my car to pack up....thought it was a bit quiet on the way in and when I checked, nada heat :( We seem to be constantly shelling out £ to the garage atm.... Hope its nothing serious or I'll be making do with a hot water bottle in the car this winter :rotfl:

Jinty - where are you?? are you watching the fitba? OH not enjoying the match quite as much as he'd expected ;):rotfl:

  • Evening all

Well I can declare my 14th NSD today :j

Tomorrow won't be one as I'm at hospital having my last scan and antenatal appointment with the doctor before I go in to be induced next wednesday :o so we are there all day but will try to take snacks from home with me doesn't help we have to leave at 8am for the 65 mile car journey :(

But should be a NSD Friday but cats are going into the cattery for 9 days but that can be paid when we pick them up when I come out of hospital and when my OH finishes his course in Coventry (starts this Saturday so I will be returning to my homeland of Warwickshire to stay with the rents).

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Pirates of Zummerzet Apple Convention crew list for Thursday 21 October.

Captain Jack Scrumpy, complete with wooden leg, stripey socks and chicken on his shoulder (don't ask)

Captain Egremont Russet, who is a bit how shall we say effeminate. Well, what do you expect when your parents call you Egremont?

Deck hand Worcester Pearmain who is bringing his own personalised mop.

General Lunacy, in charge of the ship's bar and grog ration.

Mackintosh Red (Mac the Red) who I believe is wearing his kilt and the sporran with the skull and crossbones.

Pink Lady, a rather naughty stowaway lass.

Goldie Delicious and Rosie Cox, two pirate wenches.

Maggotty Meg and Putrid Lil, two pirate wenches of more mature years.

Jon O'Gold and Cox O'Rangepippin, two Irish pirate navigators ( to be sure! )

Igor the ship's cook and Hubert the ship's donkey.

And also joining us on the good ship Ennessdee is Keswick Codlin, navigator extraordinaire......

Hopefully BigMumma will be sorting out the band and all the country yokel chappies will be bringing their apples to the convention.....till tomorrow evening then, when the sun will set on the sea and a rollocking band of pirates gather for the voyage to end all voyages!

    Yoho me hearties and away!

    Good morning everyone!

Clocking in to report that yesterday, unlucky for some but lucky for me, was NSD number 13!

Unfortunately, I spent my whole week's budget on Sunday, so that gave me the motivation to list some of my junk (another man's treasure!) on eBay yesterday - the place has been in need of a clear out for ages and it was starting to look like there was a permenant car boot 'feature' in the sitting room - however, it's taking me ages to list everything ... hopefully I'll get it done over the next couple of days and I'll be able to cross that job off my list!

Have a good day everyone and good luck collecting NSDs!

I'll bet you've already listed more than me! Perhaps I'll just neglect to mention how long I've been trying to ebay!
You and nicca should have a competition, chris, see which one can get rid of the most [STRIKE]junk [/STRIKE]buried treasure during the week, I can keep the score for you on the front page:D:D

Spoony knows me too well :p :rotfl:

I've sold 4 things so far, lost £3.98 by getting the postage wrong, even with attemping the estimator thingy! But have made about £25 (largely due to a pair of branded knee high boots that I never wore :)).

But now there's nothing listed.... Sounds like a challenge :D

Oh yes, and NSD number 10, thank you very much.

I have driven over 500 miles through rain, wind, sleet, snow, blinding October sunshine. the client who i seeing, wasn't where he'd said he'd be at the time he'd said he would be. He eventually turned up, was a pain in the butt, moaned about everything, abused his staff and was a general pig.

I was cold, tired and my hotel was orrible, so I just murdered him!!!!

Fully justified and his staff cheered!
