Pls help me understand this blackberry deal

I am looking at 2 deals and I'm not sure what it means exactly:

In this one it states the pay as u go price as £379.95* + £10 top up. Does this mean I have to top up with £10 each month or does it mean they will give me an initial £10 top up free and I'll have to purchase further £10 to get the free texts and internet advertised. If so then if I haven't used up my £10 do I still have to purchase £10 monthly to retain my free texts and internet?

Secondly, I noticed that some of the blackberry pay monthly deals advertise free internet and free email. Does that mean that with the pay as u go deal if I get free internet then I don't get the blackberry email service?

Also I saw this sim only deal which advertises free internet. If I put this sim into a blackberry will I still get the blackberry email service?

Finally, which would you personally (I realise its a personal choice :)) prefer? The HTC desire or the iphone or the blackberry? Does HTC desire offer the push email? The reason I like the push email is that it doesn't rely on an internet service abroad to deliver my emails (unless I'm mistaken)

Thanks a lot for yor input.
The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.

  • hi the galaxy s is a better phone than the desire I have had both. Its faster t the desir etc the payg deal means that you pay 10 punds as an intial top up thats all.
  • I'll try to help. I bought a Blackberry 9700 from O2 and had to buy a £15 top up. To get you free texts and internet you have to top up every month. I'm on a Simplicity rolling monthly contract so passed the sim to my wife to use.

If you have a Blackberry to receive the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) and push email you need Blackberry Unlimited.

Other sims will work only you won't receive Blackberry services.

As for choice of phones it's really what you want. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S and returned it to O2 and bought the Bold 9700. It wouldn't do push email and allow me 2 Yahoo accounts. Thinking of getting an iPhone to use just as a music player and Sat Nav.

I think 3 do a good deal on the iPhone monthly contract.
