  • :hello:afternoon lovelies,

    I have a few uu's to report:
Neutrogena pink grapefruit face wash - wiba, probably not, don't think it was anything special

radox smoothies shower gel - wiba - no, this was bought solely for dd, but I think even she realises that there are much nicer ones available

dare I say it Tesco own brand shower gel - bought out of curiousity as it was something silly like 18p, wiba - yes, there's no luxury attached to this but it does the job and since I slather on moisturiser after the shower anyway I don't need it to anything other than that

lancome bifacial eye make up remover - this was a 30ml gwp, wiba - no, it did do a great job but I can get much much cheaper stuff that does the job equally as well

tesco vit E cream cleanser - bought this by mistake (thought I was buying eye make up remover - packaging is identical) wiba - again this did the job but I'm not really a fan of cream cleansers so probably won't repurchase.

think that's it for the meantime, off now to drool over the Boots xmas brochure -I'm only looking - promise ;)

    Happy pampering, xx

UUs to report- Aussie Mega shampoo. Definitely will buy again as its my all time fave and my default shampoo! Have the mini Pantene freebie on the go atm but will be in Boots during the week for the 342 Aussie offer.

St Ives Gentle Facial Scrub- again a default setting for me this one but I'm going to try the bicarb idea first though I have a feeling I'll be back with St Ives soon:)

Dove Go Fresh (White Grapefruit) Solid Deodorant- bought this in US and loved it, though I can only find the original scent in solid form here. Onto a roll on in the Grapefruit version now.

The stash is coming down nicely apart from perfumes which keep going up:o but only from Perfume Parlour or samples/minis.
  • A couple of UU's a bare minerals mineral veil WIBA - yes good light coverage if you dont want to use a foundation. I am now using the foundation so will see how I get on.

Elemis papaya enzyme face peel - WIBA - defo! my skin feels fab after this. However I have a couple of the botanics face packs to use that are from poundland before I can buy any Elemis.

Not sure if I have a use up to report or not.

Used my shaving foam this morning in the bath and although there seems to be some left when I shake the can it's not coming out all foamy like it should and when I did try to get some more out I was getting air as well. Not sure if I should keep going until I just get air or use up the last bits that come out.

I also have the dilemma that I have no more in my stash and my Avon order hasn't arrived yet although hopefully I should get it by next week.
    Did owe £9,951.96

I also got the boots catalog and so far have been really good. May crumble if they do another better than half price deal on Soap and Glory like last year.

Another UU for me - Estee Lauder night repair - was a 7ml freebie so otherwise I wouldn't buy. I am now onto a half use l'occataine night cream.

Raking through my stash drawers and found some items and had to bin a couple of items that have been in the stash waaayyyyy too long. Half used Joey moisturiser with ginseng and boots sun lip balm.

Couple of other items are sputtering so should be reporting back soon.

UU - N Spa Raspberry milkshake shower gel/cream. This was a monster of a bottle so glad it's gone. Wasn't bad but wouldn't buy again.

UU - Dove Balance Therapy Conditioner. WIBA - Yes. Good as a basic conditioner.

Lots more UU on way. Coming to the end of lots of little bottles :)

  • Evening Ladies!

Back from a fab couple of days in Poland - saw the Speedway Grand Prix last night and had a great evening with friends old and new, plus saw my favourite rider crowned as 2010 World Champion too! It was actually a fairly MSE style trip in the end - the flights were Ryanair, sadly not that cheap as they bump the prices for the Grand Prix weekend but they were paid for on a 0% card so at least the cost was spread. GP tickets were booked direct with the stadium at the best exchange rate there has been this year for £'s to Zlotys. Hotel - totalled £140 for the two nights but included breakfast so we ate plenty there to save needing too much food later! LOL! Friday night's dinner was pizza and beer in a real "locals cafe/bar" we found - hope you're sitting down, £8 total for two huge pizzas and three beers?!! Amazing value! Even beers back at the hotel bar were under £2 each, so all in all we came back having spent far less than we expected really - result!

Can even post a couple of UU's from the weekend - just before we left here on Friday I took the last smear out of a pot of Carmex Lip Balm - WIBA? - yes, I certainly would. It's a good old budget favourite but really does the job and leaves your lips feeling nice and soft. Will request a new tub as a stocking-filler at Christmas I think! Have now gone on to a Neutrogena one - smells nice but not as effective as the Carmex I would say. I had deliberately taken across the end of a pack of makeup remover wipes so last night also finished a pack of Pure wipes - WIBA? - these are the wipes that are usually available at 2 for £1 or thereabouts in Wilkinsons so an excellent price. They are also effective and do the job without leaving my skin feeling either stripped or greasy so yes, would go for these again quite happily. First though I have a pack of Tesco ones to use.

Ok here it goes....I will give it a step by step evaluation just so you can judge for yourself whether or not it is worth it - fake tan virgins i perhaps would advise vita liberata, or fake bake beyond bronze or other tinted lotion as a guide until you are confident and competent at no streaks? Not being patronising - I know how it makes you feel to rival the tigers for stripes :rotfl:

I opened the bottle and it is a very watery consistency so you can't just use your hand, i saw on another thread that someone recommended buying an empty spray bottle from boots or the like and using this, or a microfibre car polisher! I think these would work well but i just used my application mitt from st tropez (or any application mitt would work well).

I put my mitt on top of the bottle and tipped up onto the mitt and tipped back the right way quickly (almost like putting a perfumed oil on your pulse point) It left a little area on the mitt which i then applied to the skin - it is tinted so helped with the application and a little does go a long way - i can see this bottle lasting ages so very MSE

As it is watery it dried relatively quickly - i did feel a bit sticky for about 5 mins but it soon went, and the guide colour was very natural - I think it was even more natural looking than my beloved vita liberata! It did smell a bit biscuity so although you could wear it out, perhaps I wouldn't recommend it?

I spent probably 15hours with it on (thin coat) and then washed it off, and I got a lot of compliments from my family saying it is probably the most natural colour they have seen from a tan so I'm pretty happy about it! I was worried about it being strong (read=orange) at 12% as most high street ones have a strength of about 4% but it's not at all! I might build it up on one more application on my legs and see how it fares, but I am really pleased with the results, I might use this instead of my HG vita liberata as I think it will save me money for similar results.
For example my VL costs c£22 in boots but I buy online for c£13, and this bottle cost £9 for the same volume but as it's liquid I will only use a fraction of the amount for the same application IYSWIM

Sorry for the essay but i thought i'd give an in depth analysis incase anyone appreciates it! :)
