Thought I would give them a call today as I've left it over 21 days since that said I'd be up and running, another 43 mins on the phone to be told they have a backlog of homemove's to do and are doing ones from the end of September. Was told 1 of their engineers would call me back to inform me of whats going on.

What do I do, Is there a way of getting out the contract due to non provision of service? they've also got my account details so still debiting my account each month.
I want to take on capitalism, but cant get the day off work....

No callback and no Broadband, just given them a call, (another 17 minutes) to be told their provisioning team have scheduled my reconnection for the 10/11.

2 months since I first called them, a lesson learnt with this bunch has been you get what you pay for.

Im wondering why everyone doesnt use saynoto0870.com

if you got free calls with home phone or mobile on weekends then thats when you shud call. speaker phone are great.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

I've been using the freephone number, its just the length of time I'm spending on the phone for something so simple is whats making me angry.

I am so p*ssed off with UkOnline, the staff are unhelpful and the queue as mentioned is awful, on average it is atleast 30mins hanging on the line. And I do not even have a connection yet. I applied in September, they connected my line but have not sent me a modem. I have complained numerous times and they say they are getting it sent out...empty promises...I think we should really make a complaint to ofcom or something...

Broadband was meant to be on yesterday, but as expected it isn't,
52 mins on the phone to be told "you'll have to wait until midnight as thats when the BT engineers work till, but if its still not working give us a call tomorrow"

So I'm on the phone now, 1 hour so far - usual story of phone customer services, wait 20 minutes and get put through to technical support who then say "can you hold? I've got to contact customer services"

Edit: just finished on the phone 90 minutes, to be told, yes there is a problem, but they are not sure what it is, but they are hoping to have it working by next Monday.

Cheers UKonline, been reading through their t+c and it says,

    9.5

You may terminate your Agreement with us immediately without prior notice where:
    9.5 (a)

we breach any of these terms and conditions and have not remedied such breach within thirty (30) days of a request to do so; or
    9.5 (b)

we become insolvent, go into liquidation, become subject to an administration order or make any composition or arrangement with our creditors (other than for the purposes of amalgamation or reconstruction).
IF ONLY...I'm sure it wont be long.

Does anyone think this is a fair getout clause for me cancel the contract? as they have not provided a broadband service for over 30 days (currently using their free dial up)
