Hi Rose. I'm also changing my bathroom so i've been looking around. FYI I saw that Dolphin Bathrooms are doing 50% off with complete installation and tiling... have a look at their website.. i think they are quite expensive to start with but it might be worth a look...

Dolphin are notoriously expensive for what they are. The person who comes round first is a salesperson on commission. I was informed a year or two back that their starting price for a typical standard bathroom is £9300. I'd take their starting price in the "sale" with a pinch of salt (or with about as much seriousness as the first price off a national firm double glazing salesman).froggy27 wrote:Hi Rose. I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Hi
I'm thinking about a whole bathroom too and did get Dolphin Bathrooms round. The 'designer' spent 3 hours with us, we chose a really simple bathroom and funnily enough it was quoted as £9300. BUT more expensive if we didn't take out finance (GMAC). (£10,600 ish)
We really felt that he was a finance salesman with a 'cover' of providing a bathroom, to get us to sign up to £200+/month for 10 years ! We walked away.
We still don't have a bathroom though - if you find a good way please let us know!
Thanks !0 -
But they'd take longer than they said they would.....:Dplumb1 wrote:.
Shark Bathrooms..
You could try AABBey Plumbing bet even they would be cheaper.
or they'd do it for £1500 (per week), just have to spend a fortnight and a day getting parts and run over time on the last week by an hour on the following Monday.A house isn't a home without a cat.

I'm in the same position. I need to get a shower fitted, but have been told that I need to get electrics run into the bathroom from the main fuse board, which is on another floor, then the bath would have to be turned round and fitted anew (i.e. new bath), then the whole bathroom tiled, as it is internal, plus the floor is grotty carpet.
Basically, I need the whole lot done by one firm, as I haven't got the time to co-ordinate an electrician, plumber, tiler, floor and ceiling person! So if you find anyone who can do it for under £2000 in North London, let me know :beer:0 -
good to hear comments about Dolphin. I did requests their brochure and funny enough there isn't any price list at all, needless to say that after your experiences, I WON"T Be asking them around.... Never mind, I used the brochure to see the design and try to get inspiration for when it will be time to tile...and i think we're going to try and do most of it ourselves.. first time...wish us luck!!A friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)

I'm not in North London but I'd say you'd be very lucky to do what you've described for less than £2k. In fact, I'd be suspicious of any quote less than that.moriarty888 wrote:I'm in the same position.
