Yes Chris. The Hotel Jupiter/Saturno have family rooms that sleep up to 5 and have PS2 and dvd cd player in them. Hotel has a kids club, and is all inclusive.

pee-jay-did not know about that! PS games & DVD players?! I'm guessing this is a Tour Op thing & if people booked directly to the Club Mac (crap name ofr the 3 Hotels -sounds like a burger!) the same facilities would not apply??
Worth finding out definatelty. Guess it's the one room-no separate bedroom? Will do some research-interesiting info for all I think-as you'll agree chronic shortage of this type of room!
Chris0 -
Well plenty of tour ops do it, and I know First Choice definitely include the PS" and dvd/cd players.

Definately shows that in some cases Tour Op packages give better facilities where as going the tailor-made route may save some £'ssss BUT may not have the optional goodies!0

Hiya,
I've found this thread interesting as I have stayed at the Mercury Hotel (part of Saturno & Jupiter, in Mallorca. It was truly the worst holiday I have ever been on. The noise at night was unbelievable. People were running, shouting and playing football in the corridoors all night. We were in a large room with my daughter and non of us got any sleep. The food was awful during the day... burger or chips !!!
We now have 2 children, the youngest being 1, and are looking for accomodation with a seperate bedroom. As you say Travelman, it's impossible to get a seperate bedroom for a decent price... there is, like you say, a huge gap in the market.
There were def no mention of PS2 or anything of that nature in 2002...maybe you have to know to ask?Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
Hi Travelman, just reading through your posts and found a message dated 27-05-2004, 04:52 PM from "guest" about thailand.
I have placed 2 posts asking for help (on the travel forum) in getting to Bangkok for the thai new year (with no success) and thought that £320 flight (as the poster said) was very good, although I am 8 months to late (see date above) and have been on the http://www.sawadee.com/ website but cannot find any mention of flights.
If you can help I am looking for return flights for 2, for around the 7th of April to about the 20th of April. (from Manchester) any help will be fine.
thanks

Pazzamex,
If youre fixed on your dates the only airline with outbound availability on that date is Emirates via Dubai, but you are looking at around £560.
There are cheaper fares available but no availability on 7 April.

hi-as i said in an earlier post long haul flights are not really my game-Pee-J or any other Agents on here may have more of an idea on how to help. You could always do a search on google, something like 'consolidated fares for bangkok' to see what comes up-but BE CAREFULL & make sure the company is fully bonded! If in doubt stick with an Agent-I'm sure PJ & any other agents on here can look at all the options/other dates for you.
Now...if you wanted Greece...........(!!)

The PS2 and cd/dvd players are in the family rooms provided by First Choice which it clearly states in their brochure. Do you mean you stayed at the Marte Hotel? Not heard of the Mercury.
Dont get me wrong. These are busy hotels, aimed at families, and are priced accordingly. If you are on a budget and looking for this sort of hotel then fine. Each to their own. Some people like this sort of hotel where it is busy night and day. Personallly wouldnt go near them for that reason. But having saif that, if there's 2 adults and 3 kids looking for a cheap all inclusive then it serves a purpose!

Yes it was the Marte...! don't know where I got Mercury from
I went into First Choice to book and collected the tickets too.. nobody mentioned it to me
Anyway, it was the grottiest place I've ever been to and the travel advisor told us that it was lovely and fairly quiet!!!! (didn't have the internet then either so couldn't really check)
I wouldn't say it was a cheap option either. For 2 adults and a 3yr old in October (not holidays) it was £1300. I've had far better holidays for less.
Someone said it was like Butlins in the sun.... they were rightJust run, run and keep on running!0
