I've got a Lloyds TSB Premier account and when I pay online it is credited to the recipient (no matter who it is) within 2 hours. I pay all my credit cards on the due date with no problems. Mind you I have still got the minimum payment DD set up in case I forget.0

quote I'm sorry to say but you're all wrong. There are a few other cards with differing payment methods where this is also possible.unquote
So based on the above statement how can we all be wrong because Lloyds are different to the other cc companys.0 -

It amy show as credited, but not necessarily cleared funds.0 -
I'm sorry to say but you're all wrong. With all Lloyds credit cards you can pay over the counter at a Lloyds branch before close of business on the card due date and the funds WILL be credited the day they are paid without exception.
That's because they would count as cleared funds that way.
I still stand by my comment that the due date is when CLEARED FUNDS have to be with the lender and that different payment forms take different lengths of time to be credited as cleared funds.0 -

Like my other post states, they are not unique with this, the PO Card (Bank of Ireland) which I use overseas only is the same when paid over the counter at a PO.
There are two other cards using differing payments methods which can also be paid on the due date without falling foul of any t&C's.
I wouldn't even consider putting my excellent credit history in jeopardy if I didn't have the facts right about this. It's what's helped me to maintain my 'perfect' history and stooze very successfully for a number of years.
Whether you personally believe it or not is irrelevent, those are the facts from the inside.
Using other methods of payments with LLoyds can still take the standard 3-4 days.Fiddlestick
It is not unfair - you did not pay on time.
The due date means that the payment has to be with them and cleared by that date, not that you can go and initiate the payment on that date.

If he paid at Lloyds he did pay on time, but as rhcp rightly points out it doesn't actually state which bank was used to make payment.0 -

er, with lloyds it's actually by three pm for cash over the counter at a branch0

If I pay a cc bill it shows as credited the same day.
